Why be on a path? (introduction to blog about experiments and meditation)

Would you like to elevate your consciousness to the point where you can “see as God sees”? What is “God”, and who, or what, is the “you” trying to “see as God sees”?

This morning, I opened up our French Doors which overlook a deck, and a creek side landscape that is expansive, and wildlife friendly.   I witnessed nine birds, of three different varieties, searching the ground for food, and all within the reach of our deck.  I grabbed a fistful of shelled sunflower seeds  thought that I opened up the door far enough, and then I threw the feed to the birds, in an underhand manner.  My hand hit the door handle square on its flight up, and I received what felt like a cracked thumb bone for my inattentiveness.  This is a perfect example of how unconsciousness (or unawakened awareness) would have given me permission to blame the door handle, rather than treat the issue at its cause, which was my own unconsciousness.
