Proprioception, the body’s energy field, mother earth’s energy field.

Humans, and other species, have many capacities that are rarely accessed, except when extreme stress or challenges are being faced, or as an unexpected gift of perception, and hard to re-experience or replicate under a new set of conditions.

I have several examples to utilize to bring new light to these mysterious processes.

In 1987, during a meditation, I saw two personality vortices attached to my life force field of energy.  They did not belong there, and I came to know them as tricksters.  Only now, nearly 40 years later, I theorized that these two characters were disassociated or rejected parts of myself who were unconscious advisors to me, until I became conscious of their presence and integrated them back into my identity,  as further clarification of this difficult point, it has been related that the concept, or the experience, of God as a separate being is the same disassociative process, be coming a benign and helpful trickster until re-integrared back into our identity as the very source of our being and subsequent life experience.

In 1992 during a period of heightened sensitivity within my consciousness, I developed enhanced Sensorial awareness, including hearing, seeing, and feeling.  On a rest stop in the Mt. Adams wilderness,  I could feel the ground and it’s energy all about me.  I could feel the trees, and the sky.  It was if my proprioception extended into everything within visual range of me.

In 2017 I sensed a golf ball sized tumor in the left hemisphere of my brain.  My proprioception had once again accessed my life energy field, revealing this disturbing phenomenon.  This is where it gets really mysterious, however.  My friend developed a brain tumor in the exact same place in his brain, and both his and my tumor disappeared after his was surgically removed.  My proprioception was a form of telepathic connection, or radical empathy.

In 2019 while playing cards at a friend’s house I started developing a blister on my right forefinger.  I had performed no work that would have caused this blister to form.  At this exact same moment, my wife Sharon was at home working in the yard.  She was developing a blister on her right forefinger!  My proprioception once again extended beyond the limits of my physical body, touching another several miles away.

Unlocking the Hidden Potential of Human Proprioception and Energy Fields

What if within every human being lay untapped capacities to perceive, connect, and interact with the world in ways that transcend conventional understanding? What if our sensory awareness extended far beyond the confines of our skin, connecting us to each other, to nature, and to dimensions of existence yet to be fully explored?

These questions reside at the heart of humanity’s fascination with expanded states of consciousness and heightened proprioception. While modern science has made remarkable strides in understanding the physical senses, it has largely overlooked the profound, uncharted territory of energy fields and the interconnectedness of all life.

Drawing from personal experiences and philosophical inquiry, this article invites you to explore proprioception not as a mere sense of physical orientation, but as a gateway to perceiving a universal life force that unites individuals with the greater whole. Through this exploration, we encounter radical empathy, the dissolution of personal boundaries, and a collective energy field that challenges traditional ideas of selfhood.

Proprioception, often described as the sense that allows us to locate our limbs and orient our bodies within physical space, has long been studied from a physiological perspective. Yet, emerging personal accounts and spiritual traditions propose that proprioception may access information from fields far beyond the biological self.

Science defines proprioception as the awareness we have of our body’s movements and spatial position. However, what if it weren’t limited to physical sensations? What if it extended into unseen dimensions, allowing us to perceive other living beings, the Earth, and even universal consciousness? My personal experiences suggest that proprioception may be a doorway to precisely this kind of expanded awareness.

Case Study 1: Merging Boundaries

One of the most striking examples of proprioceptive energy at work occurred while I was playing cards at a friend’s house in 2019. My wife, Sharon, was several miles away, working in the yard. Without engaging in any physical labor, I suddenly developed a blister on my right forefinger. Later, Sharon informed me that she had developed a similar blister in the very same spot on her hand during the time I felt mine form.

How could such a phenomenon be explained through the lens of conventional science? This experience revealed the possibility of radical empathy, whereby my energy field interfaced with Sharon’s, manifesting her physical experience in my own body. It is as though the boundaries separating us as individuals dissolved, highlighting the profound interconnectedness that exists at subtle energetic levels.

Case Study 2: Feeling the Earth’s Breath

Similarly, in 1992, while resting in the Mt. Adams wilderness, I discovered an extraordinary dimension of proprioception. Standing amidst nature, I felt my awareness mesh with the energy field of the Earth itself. It was as if my proprioceptive senses expanded outward to encompass not just my body, but the ground, the trees, and the sky, forming a cohesive sensory experience that unified me with the environment.

This profound connection aligns closely with Indigenous and spiritual traditions, which recognize the Earth as a living entity. These traditions view the natural world not as an external resource, but as an extension of the self. Such an expanded proprioceptive state underscores that humans, at their core, are not separate from nature but are an integral part of its energy field.

Case Study 3: Beyond Physical Awareness

A further step into the mysteries of proprioception occurred in 2017, when I sensed a golf ball-sized tumor in the left hemisphere of my brain, despite having no external symptoms at the time. Perhaps the most mysterious aspect of this experience was that my friend, at that same time, developed a tumor in the exact location in his brain. After his tumor was surgically removed, I found that mine had disappeared without medical intervention.

Could this represent a deeper level of interconnected awareness, where my proprioception enabled me to attune not only to my own energy field but also to his? Such instances challenge conventional notions of bodily and energetic isolation, offering a glimpse into larger forces at work within the fabric of existence.

These experiences, while deeply personal, resonate with philosophical insights and emerging scientific theories. Quantum physics, for example, explores the notion of entanglement, in which particles separated by vast distances remain inexplicably connected. Could this same principle apply to human energy fields, explaining phenomena like radical empathy and interconnected proprioception?

Similarly, studies in consciousness suggest that reality may extend far beyond what is immediately measurable. The placebo effect, for instance, demonstrates how thought alone can alter physical states. Could energy fields and proprioception represent another layer of the mind’s ability to transcend the physical?

Ancient energy practices like Reiki, Qi Gong, and shamanic healing offer additional perspectives. These traditions teach that universal life force energy flows through and connects all living beings. Practitioners have long harnessed these energies for healing and self-discovery, often describing experiences that mirror those arising from heightened proprioception.

While subjective accounts like mine are anecdotal, they point to an urgent need for greater scientific exploration into the non-ordinary capacities of the human mind and body.

If these experiences suggest our untapped potential, the next question must be: how can we awaken and develop these extraordinary abilities? While the path will undoubtedly be unique for each individual, certain practices offer a strong starting point.

1. Mindful Meditation

Regular meditation enhances awareness of subtle energy fluctuations within and around the body. By visualizing light radiating from the core of your being, you can train yourself to detect shifts in your energy field.

2. Immersion in Nature

Nature is a gateway to expanded proprioception. Spend time in the wilderness, aligning your senses with the rhythms of the Earth. Focus on the textures, sounds, and movements of your surroundings to deepen your connection to natural energy fields.

3. Partner Practices

Working alongside a trusted partner amplifies energy exploration. Exercises such as synchronized breathing or energy field visualization can cultivate shared states of awareness and mutual empathy.

4. Ancient Energy Practices

Disciplines like Reiki, Qi Gong, and breathwork allow individuals to directly engage with the universal flow of energy. These practices are excellent tools for refining proprioceptive awareness.

As we explore these capacities, significant questions arise. What ethical obligations come with manipulating energy fields? Could these skills be misused for selfish or harmful purposes? And most importantly, what do these experiences mean for our understanding of individuality and interconnectedness?

Perhaps above all else, these mysteries remind us of a universal truth long echoed by spiritual traditions and scientific inquiry alike—that separation is an illusion. We are not isolated beings contained within rigid physical forms, but participants in a vast, interconnected web of existence.

The human potential for proprioception points us toward a profound realization of unity. By exploring these dormant abilities, we can transcend limitations of selfhood, deepen our relationships with others, and harmonize with the living Earth.

Are you ready to go beyond the ordinary and explore the extraordinary possibilities of your energy field? Begin today with mindful practices, open inquiry, and a willingness to step into the unknown. The mystery of consciousness, proprioception, and universal connection awaits your discovery. Will you answer the call?

Proprioception, Energy Fields, and the Connection to the Greater Whole

What if our physical senses were just the tip of the iceberg, and within each of us lay dormant abilities capable of bridging the gap between the seen and unseen? What if these abilities connected us not only to one another but also to the Earth itself?

Humanity’s fascination with energy fields and expanded consciousness dates back millennia, yet modern science has only just begun to scratch the surface of these profound mysteries. Through stories of heightened proprioception and deep attunement to energy fields, I aim to explore truths that challenge our understanding of reality and illuminate our potential for transcending the boundaries of the physical self.

At its core, proprioception refers to our ability to sense our body’s position in space. But can this intrinsic function transcend physical boundaries, allowing us to connect to energy fields beyond our biological confines? My personal experiences and those of countless others suggest that it can.

My own encounters, which range from sensing foreign entities within my energy field to what can only be described as telepathic empathy, shed light on proprioception’s untapped potential as a gateway to otherworldly awareness. These phenomena challenge the notion of separation, revealing an inherent connection between individual energy fields and the universal field of consciousness.

One particular experience stands out as an undeniable testament to such interconnectedness. While working in my yard, my wife Sharon developed a blister on her right forefinger. At that exact moment, with no physical exertion on my part, I also formed a blister on the same finger. Though miles apart, my proprioception had extended to sense and mirror her physical experience. I call this phenomenon radical empathy, where one’s energy field merges with another’s, rendering the boundaries of individuality indistinct.

Instances like this invite us to question the limits of perception and herald the possibility that our beings are deeply enmeshed with those around us—not metaphorically, but literally.

Equally profound was my experience in the Mt. Adams wilderness, where my proprioception seemed to expand into every visible element of the environment. I could feel the energy of the ground beneath me, the sky above me, and the trees surrounding me, merging seamlessly into a cohesive sensory landscape. It was as though my body’s energy field aligned in perfect harmony with the Earth’s, removing any sense of separation.

This deep attunement to Mother Earth’s energy field aligns with Indigenous and spiritual traditions that have long revered the planet as a living, breathing entity. Could modern science validate these ancient beliefs? Could anyone, through conscious practice, achieve a similar harmony and heightened awareness?

One challenge in unraveling the mystery of these experiences lies in the gap between subjective phenomena and objective science. While my accounts are anecdotal, parallels can be found in emerging research and ancient spiritual frameworks.

Quantum physics, for instance, has begun to illuminate the interconnectedness of the universe. Concepts like quantum entanglement suggest that particles can influence one another instantaneously, no matter the distance separating them. Could this principle explain the way my energy field mirrored that of my wife’s or how the Earth’s energy field resonated within me?

Studies of consciousness further reveal that the mind is not constrained by the brain’s physical boundaries. Research on the placebo effect demonstrates the mind’s ability to influence bodily functions, raising the question: Could energy fields be an extension of this phenomenon, where consciousness itself flows between individuals and even broader ecosystems?

To gain a more holistic understanding, one must also look backward. Ancient practices such as Qi Gong, Reiki, and other energy-healing modalities are predicated upon the flow and exchange of universal energy. Similarly, Indigenous traditions often speak of felt-sense connections to the Earth, as if the planet’s energy field communicates directly with those attuned to it.

Science and spirituality need not exist as opposing viewpoints; finding their intersection may hold the key to unlocking the mysteries of expanded proprioception and its applications for humanity.

How do we take these profound insights and turn them into actionable practices? Developing an experiential connection to your energy field and the energy fields of others requires thoughtful engagement, including meditative introspection, heightened sensory awareness, and practical applications of ancient techniques. Here’s how to explore this phenomenon for yourself:

  1. Start with Mindful Meditation

Engage in daily meditation to sharpen your awareness of your energy field. Visualization techniques, such as imagining light radiating from your core, can help cultivate sensitivity to subtle energy shifts.

  1. Connect with Nature

Spend time in natural surroundings. Remove distractions and focus on aligning your senses with the environment. Notice how the ground feels underfoot and how the energy of trees, water, or wind affects you.

  1. Practice Energy Healing Modalities

Explore practices like Reiki, breathwork, or vibrational therapies to deepen your understanding of universal energy flow and how it interacts with your proprioceptive senses.

  1. Partner with Another Individual

Engage in exercises with a partner to explore how your energy fields may influence each other. Practices like synchronized breathwork or empathetic attunement can enhance this awareness.

Accessing and influencing energy fields aren’t without ethical considerations. As we explore these realms, we must reflect on their potential impact, both positive and negative. Could such abilities, if harnessed, be misused? How do we ensure that they are exercised with humility and respect for others’ autonomy?

Philosophically, these questions prompt us to confront the boundaries of selfhood. Is individuality an illusion, with the greater truth being one of interconnectedness and unity? If so, integrating these realizations could revolutionize how we relate to one another and to the Earth itself.

Proprioception represents an awe-inspiring frontier where science, spirituality, and consciousness converge. By exploring and validating these capacities, we can unlock new levels of wellness, empathy, and harmony—not only for individuals but for our collective existence.

The call now is to act. Explore your inner energy field. Acknowledge that it overlaps with those of others, as well as the life force of animals, plants, and Mother Earth. When you begin to access this flow, you may find not only insight but also a profound sense of belonging within the universal dance of energy.

Are you prepared to take the next step into the unfolding mystery of your energy field? From heightened proprioception to expanded consciousness, your potential awaits.
