Exploring the Enigmatic Power of Prayer and Mystical Experiences

In our modern, secular world, the concept of prayer often evokes a spectrum of reactions. For some, it is a deeply personal and powerful practice, a conduit to divine energy and healing. Others dismiss it as a relic of an unscientific past, or reserve its use for rare, solemn occasions. Yet another group embraces prayer with liberal fervor, integrating it seamlessly into their daily lives.

But what exactly is prayer? And why does it elicit such varied responses?

Prayer is not merely a religious ritual, but a profound act of introspection and connection. It serves as a bridge between the mundane and the mystical, the tangible and the ethereal. In its essence, prayer can be a form of meditation, a method to focus one’s mind and spirit, aligning them with a higher purpose or intention. It is a practice that transcends cultural and religious boundaries, found in some form in virtually every spiritual tradition.

However, the healing potential of prayer is often disregarded by skeptics who demand empirical proof of its efficacy. For them, the act of prayer is seen as a placebo at best, or a superstitious exercise at worst. Yet, countless individuals report experiencing profound peace, clarity, and even physical healing through prayer. Could it be that there is more to this practice than meets the eye?

Alongside prayer, dreams and visions occupy a significant place in the spiritual landscape. Are these experiences mere figments of a resting brain, or do they hold keys to deeper truths? Historically, dreams have been regarded as messages from the divine, offering guidance, warnings, or insights into one’s life path. Visionaries and mystics throughout history have attested to the power of their dreams and visions, claiming they provided glimpses into a higher reality.

The mystical and the occult, too, bear an allure that is both fascinating and intimidating. Are these experiences part of a divine intention, or are they manifestations of a dark, ignorant mind? The answer may lie somewhere in between – or perhaps beyond – our conventional understanding.

To truly explore these phenomena, one must break free from the constraints of societal norms and personal biases. This isn’t merely about abandoning old beliefs, but about transcending the collective mindset that discourages open exploration of the unknown. The light of truth often resides in places deemed strange, mystical, or exotic – terms that struggle to encapsulate the profoundness of spiritual liberation.

The key message here is an invitation to an open-minded exploration into the spiritual and metaphysical dimensions of life. Prayer, dreams, visions, and a deeper understanding of our personal histories are not merely ancillary aspects of existence but integral parts of a continually unfolding cosmic narrative. They offer pathways to spiritual liberation and enhanced understanding, for those willing to tread upon Love’s Infinite Path.

In the end, spiritual practices and mystical experiences are deeply personal journeys. They invite us to question, to seek, and to discover the unseen realms that may hold profound truths. By setting aside dismissive attitudes and opening ourselves to the beauty and mystery of the unseen, we may find that prayer, dreams, and visions are not just entertaining diversions, but doorways to a richer, more enlightened life.

To all seekers on this path, remember that the ultimate liberation lies not in the acceptance of popular beliefs, but in the courageous pursuit of the unknown. In this exploration, you may discover that the universe holds more wonders than we can possibly imagine, waiting to be unveiled to the awakening soul.

August 1987-1994- Marie Schmidt

In 1987, I met Marie Schmidt, a practitioner of the Infinite Way, which is a movement involved with “spiritual healing” created by Joel Goldsmith (died 1964).  She was a woman about 87 years old, who taught every Sunday at the old YWCA on 10th Avenue in downtown Portland.  I had seen a simple advertisement for her tape group, while attending the International New Thought Alliance conference in Portland.  The tape group was a combination meditation group, and a forum for listening to the taped teachings of Joel Goldsmith, a spiritual healer and mystic who first began his healing practice shortly after the Great Depression began.

She had been holding weekly meditations and tape recorded playbacks of Joel’s actual messages since 1962 (she had 1000 hours of his recorded messages, which she ended up giving to me). Marie would sit in the front of the room, and lead a 15 minute meditation, followed by the playing of a cassette tape of one hour length.  She had a collection of at least 300 tapes , of which I eventually copied virtually all of them, and committed them to memory as best that I could.

I was captured by this group, which had mostly older people who attended.  I believe that I was the youngest person there, for the period from 1987-1991, while I remained involved with her group.  Initially, I kept my distance from most of the people, not really being sure what the whole business was about.  I eventually drew Joan M and Marcus J. into the group, who I knew from the International New Thought Alliance convention of 1987, as well as Alcoholics Anonymous, and the Living Enrichment Center.

One day in February of 1989, after I had just broken off an engagement to be married to Laurie H, and I was devastated.  The sweet old woman, Marie, offered me a healing session.  Well, I had my doubts, and nothing to lose, and I was a little curious about this healing business.  I went up to her apartment, still devastated, and meditated with her for 15 minutes. At the end, Marie spoke the message that she heard from Spirit, in regards to me.

“More perfect than you are, you could never be”,

with

“All that is human, is illusion”.

“Well, OK, Marie, but how can I possibly apply that spiritual salve?”

I asked, still not seeing any benefit.

As I thanked her for her time, I then noticed I became totally at peace, and I was “healed” of all of my emotional disturbances around the ending of my engagement to Laurie.  It was as if the winds of Spirit had blown away everything from my mind, except peace and joy.  I felt strangely and wonderfully liberated of everything that had ever bothered me!

As I look at my life’s history, I have been healed by its Mystery.

I later tried to have her heal my mentally sick ex-wife, Donelle,  with no success.  So there were limits to her ability, though she always stated that God  heals, not herself . I can almost now hear Marie’s voice, telling me, in regards to all of us:

“More Perfect than you are, you could never be.”

How that manifests in all of our lives remains an unraveled mystery, to be experienced by us each day that we have the privilege to wake up.  She would tell me that we are all blessed by each other’s continued walk through life.    Love goes before us, to make all of  “the crooked places straight”. We are Loved, and, in fact are Love Itself.    The body goes where it must, but also, so does our Hearts.  Go in Peace and Love, and always be willing to bring healing to any situation, for that is our mission, and who we are always to be.

In 1994, Marie was placed in the St. Andrews home near Mt. Tabor, when her nephew noted her deteriorating health, and he was concerned about her decline.  Marie continued to practice healing with the other patients, even while under care of the attending professionals.  My last visit to her, just prior to her death, was characterized by her still restating to Sharon and me of our perfection in the eyes of God.

“More Perfect than you are, you could never be.”

The Transformative Power of Empathy and Shared Consciousness in Healing

Human consciousness is a profound and mysterious force, capable of facilitating connections that transcend conventional barriers. In the realm of caregiving, the role of empathy and compassion extends beyond mere emotional support; it becomes a conduit for deeper understanding, shared burdens, and mutual healing. Practicing empathy and shared consciousness can revolutionize the way we approach illness and healing, offering new perspectives for healthcare professionals, psychology enthusiasts, and empathy advocates.

Our consciousness serves as the medium through which profound connections occur. In my experience with Marty, a good friend of nearly twenty-one years, through radical empathy, his ego mind intertwined with my own consciousness, allowing me to access hidden truths about both him and myself. This process occurred over the period of the last six months of his life in 2017, when his melanoma erupted into metastasis to his brain.. This connection was not merely emotional but a temporary melding of our very beings, facilitated by love, compassion, concern, and the pursuit of spiritual, if not physiological, healing.

The compassion I felt for Marty acted as a bridge, enabling me to communicate thoughts and feelings that had previously eluded me. This newfound capacity for expression was not just about understanding Marty’s experience but also about uncovering repressed aspects of my own consciousness. Through this empathetic bond, I was able to articulate the forces of oppression and repression within both of us, illuminating the dark corners of our minds.

One of the most startling aspects of our connection was the way Marty’s illness seemed to manifest within my own consciousness. I sensed a dark, golf ball-sized mass in my brain,  two months prior to an identical appearance in Marty’s brain, who had a real life tumor appear as a result of malignant melanoma. This experience challenges conventional views of illness as an isolated, individual affliction. It suggests that through deep empathetic connections, caregivers can share the burden of illness, potentially aiding in the healing process or, conversely, sharing directly in a deteriorating health outcome.

This shared burden underscores the transformative power of compassion and empathy. By deeply connecting with a patient, caregivers can gain insights into the patient’s condition and their own hidden truths. This process of shared consciousness enables a more holistic approach to healing, where both the caregiver and the patient benefit from the empathetic bond.  Even in meditations and my dreamtime, I was shown ways to bring higher measures of hope, insight, and the potential for spiritual healing to Marty.

Empathy has the power to transcend conventional barriers of communication. Through my connection with Marty, I was also able to articulate thoughts and feelings that had previously eluded me. This newfound capacity for expression was not just about understanding Marty’s experience but, through the mirror provided for by our relationship,  also about uncovering repressed aspects of my own consciousness.

The light of my awareness, filtered through Marty’s consciousness, cast shadows that formed words—words that bridged the gap between the unknown and the known parts of my being. This process highlights the importance of empathy in breaking down barriers of communication, allowing for the articulation of thoughts and feelings that were previously elusive.

The insights gained from my experience with Marty offer a novel perspective on empathy and shared consciousness in the context of illness and healing. Compassion and empathy are not just emotional responses; they are powerful tools that can transform the caregiving experience, revealing hidden truths and fostering mutual healing.

Healthcare professionals, psychology enthusiasts, and empathy advocates are encouraged to explore the potential of shared consciousness in their practice. By cultivating deep empathetic connections, caregivers can share the burden of illness and facilitate a more holistic approach to healing.

Empathy and shared consciousness have the power to reveal personal and shared repressions, enabling caregivers to confront and articulate the forces of oppression and repression within both themselves and their patients. This process is not just about understanding the patient’s struggles but also about illuminating the dark corners of our own minds. Through this introspective and philosophical exploration, we can challenge conventional thinking, encourage self-discovery, and promote spiritual growth.

Note:  Marty died later that year when he felt that the malignant melanoma was going to continue to spread, choosing Oregon’s Death With Dignity option.  It has been said that when a person is approaching death, whether they are conscious of that fact or not, ego boundaries start to dissolve. That is another challenging story, captured in a blog post that I recently published on this site.

Radical Empathy and Shared Consciousness: A New Paradigm in Human Connection

Empathy is a foundational aspect of human relationships, often described as the ability to emotionally resonate with another person’s feelings. However, my experience with my dear friend Marty over the span of twenty-one years has led me to a deeper understanding of empathy that transcends traditional definitions. This phenomenon, which I term “radical empathy,” involves a profound, almost psychic attunement to another’s inner world—a connection so deep that it occasionally blurred the lines between our individual selves..

Traditionally, empathy and telepathy are viewed as distinct concepts. Empathy involves emotional resonance, while telepathy implies a direct transmission of thoughts or sensations between individuals. My experience suggests that these two concepts may not be as separate as we once thought. Through our deep emotional bond, Marty’s consciousness appeared to transmit aspects of his being directly into mine. This created a shared experience that was both enlightening and unsettling, challenging the conventional boundaries between empathy and telepathy.

Our consciousness serves as the medium for these profound connections. Marty’s sense of self somehow intertwined with my own, allowing me to access hidden truths about both him and myself. This connection was facilitated by a combination of love, compassion, and the pursuit of spiritual and physiological healing. It was through this shared consciousness that I could experience aspects of Marty’s inner world directly, revealing the depth and complexity of our interconnectedness.

The transformative potential of such deep connections is profound. By sharing consciousness with another person, we can illuminate personal growth and understanding in ways that traditional methods cannot achieve. This process encourages self-discovery and spiritual growth, challenging us to redefine our understanding of empathy, consciousness, and human connection.

The phenomenon of radical empathy raises intriguing questions about the nature of human connection and consciousness. It suggests that our conventional understanding of empathy is limited and that we must explore the potential overlap with telepathy. This exploration has implications not only for psychology and empathy research but also for medical professionals and caregivers who work closely with patients.

While the transformative potential of radical empathy is significant, it is also a potentially dangerous path to traverse. The deep interconnectedness facilitated by radical empathy can lead to a loss of self and challenges to one’s sanity. Therefore, it is essential to approach this concept with caution, balancing the pursuit of spiritual attunement with the need for self-preservation.

Radical empathy represents a new paradigm in human connection, one that challenges conventional thinking and encourages deeper exploration of empathy and consciousness. By understanding and accepting these profound empathetic experiences, we can foster personal growth, spiritual development, and a more profound understanding of human relationships. The potential overlap between empathy and telepathy offers a glimpse into the future of human connection—a future where consciousness serves as the medium for profound, transformative experiences.

The Power of Prayer and Interconnectedness

If we could all divest ourselves from our religious or scientific and/or secular backgrounds for a moment, and consider what is about to be discussed, we can share in the possibility for a greater personal and collective unfolding. It has been said that prayer is nothing more than intentional or focused thought. It has also been said that prayer is our line of communication with our higher power. As the understanding of “prayer” and of our thoughts evolves, we finally note that the words point to something so simple, normal, and natural. Yet, these words also point to a much greater potential for shared reality than most people understand or realize.

There is a band of frequencies in the spectrum of universal life force where humanity resides. Our minds already arise from this base, or fundamental ground, of being or existence. We naturally can access all of these frequencies, yet we must discern which ones to attach our life force energy to and which ones to avoid. We all are accessing these frequencies together as a human race, thus the incredible potential for overlap of experiences, synchronicity, empathy, and compassion. For example, reincarnation may be the experience of one’s unusual sensitivity to the crystallized life history of a deceased person whose energy is still vibrating in the spectrum of universal life experience.

Reinterpreting prayer as a form of focused thought or intention, irrespective of religious or secular beliefs, broadens its accessibility and use. This reinterpretation allows us to see it as a tool for interacting with the universal life force. Imagine prayer, not as a plea to an external deity, but as a deliberate tuning of our internal frequencies to align with those that support our highest good. When we pray for someone, we might be influencing the frequencies they resonate with, potentially impacting their experiences and even collective reality.

One story really stands out from my electrician apprenticeship program that I attended from 1988-1992. Gary Johnson was another apprentice in my class, and he, at times, appeared a little distracted and dull. I knew that there was more to him than that, though I never really positively acknowledged him in any outward way. We were American Males, after all, and rarely do we reach out to each other in any physical, meaningful, loving way. One day we were scheduled to take a very important test, one which would determine if we would successfully continue in the program, and eventually finish with our electrical license. For some reason, I felt an intense desire to pray for Gary.

This was not a typical activity for me, praying for somebody that I did not know well. After the test, Gary came over to me and asked me why I prayed for him. Nobody, I mean NOBODY, could have known that I was praying for Gary, including him. Are we all connected? My spirituality was not a flashy garment that I wore to gain attention from others, because of my need to keep a secretive silence about that aspect of myself. I was a participant in an industry dominated by unconscious male energy, and I knew that would be ridiculed and ferociously judged by all of the toxic energy of the men, having been a participant in that activity prior to my own awakening.

I stopped praying for co-workers after that, not being comfortable with the mystery of what had just transpired.

Note: Gary died early the next year. The reason that he appeared distracted is that he was keeping a secret from all of us. He already had his diagnosis, with a poor prognosis, though he claimed that his lack of energy was due to the care that he had to give to his terminally ill mother.

Telepathy and prayer can refer to the same experience, as well as prescience, remote viewing, and other psychic phenomena. It is too easy to discount or “poo-poo” this aspect of human potential. Our world culture will continue to further hypnotize itself with its higher technology entertainment, and many will lose their way because of overreliance on these toys of communication.

What will open us up to the possibilities of the “unknown”?

Most of us continue to define our life by what we already think we know, and by what others, such as parents, friends, teachers, ministers, etc., might think about us. Time-based thought and activity generated from a past frame of reference remains the dominion of our ego, whether we consider our minds healthy and happy or insane. But for many of us, in order to find the real connection with love, joy, and sanity, we must let go of envy and competitiveness and the need to control others. We can let the natural peace at the center of our being decide what is best for us.

The notions of prayer, telepathy, and interconnectedness offer us a profound perspective on our shared human experience. By recognizing the power of our thoughts and intentions, we can foster a greater sense of empathy and compassion in our daily interactions. Prayer, when seen through the lens of focused thought, becomes a universally accessible tool for personal and collective transformation.

Take a moment to reflect on the impact your thoughts and intentions have on your life and the world around you. Consider how you might shift your focus to align with the frequencies that support your highest good and the well-being of others. Through this practice, we can contribute to a more harmonious and connected world.

Let’s all strive to tune into the universal life force, harness the power of focused thought, and nurture our shared reality with empathy and compassion. The possibilities for personal and collective unfolding are boundless when we open ourselves to the mysteries of the unknown.

The Interconnectedness of Consciousness: Exploring the Subtle Ties That Bind Us

In the labyrinth of our daily lives, we often overlook the profound interconnectedness that underlies our existence. This concept, though seemingly esoteric, has tangible manifestations that suggest our thoughts and experiences are woven into a much larger tapestry. Our thoughts may be nothing more than unfocused prayer. This idea invites us to consider that the private musings we entertain in our minds could reverberate through the universe, impacting others in ways we scarcely comprehend.

To illustrate the power of this interconnectedness, allow me to recount a personal experience. On Sunday, March 17, 2019, I was playing cards with my friend Jim H. During the game, I felt a blister forming on my forefinger. Bewildered, I wondered how this was possible since I hadn’t engaged in any strenuous activities. At that precise moment, Sharon White, who was at home working outside, noticed a blister on her finger. The coincidence in timing and sensation was uncanny, raising the question of whether our experiences were somehow linked on a deeper level.

Let’s take a moment to reframe our understanding of intuition, especially women’s intuition. Traditionally, intuition has been seen as an inexplicable sense that guides one’s decisions. However, what if this intuition is a direct, albeit intermittent, connection to the universal truths that bind all of us together? Women’s intuition, then, might not be so much a mysterious sixth sense as a clearer channel to the underlying reality that connects every living being.

If our thoughts are indeed unfocused prayers, it becomes crucial to be mindful of what we entertain in our minds. Positive or negative, our thoughts have the potential to manifest in the world, affecting not just ourselves but those around us. In this light, mindfulness in thought and action isn’t merely a path to personal well-being but a moral responsibility we owe to the collective consciousness.

This perspective leads us to explore the philosophical and spiritual implications of interconnected consciousness. It suggests that individual actions and thoughts contribute to a shared reality, making each of us co-creators of the world we inhabit. This understanding can foster a sense of unity and compassion, encouraging us to act with greater empathy and consideration for others.

The idea that we are all linked on a foundational level challenges conventional thinking and invites us to contemplate the profound implications of our interconnectedness. Our thoughts, far from being isolated and private, might be subtle prayers that ripple through the fabric of reality. By embracing this perspective, we can cultivate a more mindful and compassionate world.

Thank you, Great Spirit, for illuminating one of life’s greatest truths. And to you, dear reader, I encourage you to explore these connections in your own life. Pay attention to the subtle signs and synchronicities that hint at our shared reality. In doing so, you may uncover a richer, more interconnected existence than you ever imagined.

The Dream Connection: Unveiling the Mysteries of Human Consciousness

Dreams have long fascinated humanity, often dismissed as mere figments of our subconscious. Yet, there are instances where dreams seem to transcend the boundaries of ordinary perception, hinting at a deeper connection between our inner experiences and external reality.

In May 2016, I experienced a dream so vivid and disturbing that it left me shaken. In this dream, I had fallen in an unfamiliar bathroom and became trapped between the toilet and the wall. The following morning, my wife Sharon received a call from our dear friend June Thomas. June related that her brother Dale, whom she was visiting, had experienced a health crisis during the night. He had gone to the bathroom, fallen, and became trapped—just as I had dreamt.

This incident forces us to confront the traditional perception of dreams as mere subconscious thoughts. Could it be that dreams are more than just reflections of our internal psyche? Might they hold clues to a deeper understanding of human consciousness?

The concept of dreams serving as a form of precognition or as an avenue for remote viewing is not new, yet it remains controversial. My dream about Dale’s accident raises the question of whether our minds are capable of accessing information beyond our immediate sensory experiences. If dreams can indeed foretell or see non-local events, what implications does this hold for our understanding of reality and human intuition?

Throughout my life, I have had several dreams that seemed to hold significant meaning or provide insights into future events. These experiences are not unique to me alone; many people report similar encounters. For example, my bond with June often felt like a spiritual connection, as if we shared a deeper, almost cosmic link. Is it possible that such connections allow for a transfer of information that transcends conventional understanding?

Accepting the validity of certain dreams has profound implications. On a personal level, it encourages us to pay closer attention to our dreams, potentially unlocking insights into our lives and relationships. From a scientific perspective, it challenges researchers to explore new frontiers in understanding consciousness and the limits of human perception.

Current scientific research into intuition often focuses on the neural and psychological processes involved in rapid decision-making. However, if dreams can serve as a form of precognition or remote viewing, it suggests that our understanding of intuition may be incomplete. This opens up exciting possibilities for future research into the nature of consciousness and the potential for human awareness beyond the five senses.

The dream about Dale’s accident serves as a compelling case study in the profound connection between dreams and reality. It challenges us to rethink traditional notions of dreams as mere fantasies and consider the possibility that they hold deeper insights into human consciousness.

In contemplating the mysteries of our dreams, we encourage a broader exploration of what it means to be truly aware. Are dreams a portal to untapped dimensions of our mind, offering glimpses into future events or hidden truths? While the answers may vary, the questions themselves propel us toward a richer understanding of ourselves and our place in the universe.

Are you ready to explore the depths of your own consciousness? Share your thoughts and experiences with others of opened minds and hearts, and join the conversation about the profound mysteries of our inner worlds.

Psychic Phenomenon?

Through psychometry we may be able to unlock the secrets of the past.  With the power of psychometry, objects become vessels of history and emotion. By touching an item, we can tap into the memories and energies imprinted upon it. Objects carry the stories of those who have touched them, offering a glimpse into the past. Personal experiences with psychometry unveil a world of hidden narratives and forgotten emotions, providing insights and healing opportunities. Through psychometry, we can connect with our collective history and gain a deeper understanding of our place in the movement of time.

The intersection of family history and a birth in November of 1955 has created some interesting, and, at times, amazing stories for me. Psychometry allowed me to tap into the energy and history of objects when I was very young.. By holding or touching an item, I received impressions, images, and emotions associated with its past. It’s like reading the energetic imprints left behind by previous owners or significant events.  Whenever we traveled on old, neglected roads, or visited old homes my senses would go crazy, until I was eight years old.

My Uncle Worth died in February of 1955, 9 months in advance of my own birth. His photo is included here.  He had a wonderful wife, Aunt Effie, who also died before I had any awareness, because I was less than a year old. My grandparents dearly loved their Uncle Worth and Aunt Effie, as well as my mother, and her brother, my uncle Wayne, as well.

When I was 4 years old, my grandfather showed me the chair in the photographs. I immediately recognized it, and claimed it as my own.

I remembered fashioning every piece by my own hands, and assembling it together myself. How could I have possibly done that as a 4-year-old? Of course my mother guffawed, and stated that it was a store-bought chair that my grandfather had owned since he was young. I knew that it was not store bought, and to this day, the memory of the chair, and its actual presence in our home, both haunts, and comforts me.

It is now known that Uncle Worth was the original owner and builder of the chair, and that he passed it down to Grandpa, who then gave it to me.

I still sit down in the chair on occasion, and I feel a mysterious, beautiful peace and sense of completion when I sit in the chair.

Looking at my history, I remain seated in the Mystery.

Mysticism and the Summer of 1992: A Journey into Heightened Awareness

In the summer of 1992, I experienced a series of events that profoundly altered my perception of reality and deepened my connection to the natural world. This experience not only heightened my senses but also opened the door to a mystical awareness that has continued to shape my personal and spiritual growth. As I continue to explore the impact of that summer, the concept of “mystic awareness,” and its relevance in our everyday lives shows its immense significance..

One morning during the summer of 1992, I awoke with an unusual sense of heightened perception. Colors appeared more vivid, sounds clearer, and even the air seemed to carry more distinct scents. Every part of my body felt alive with vitality, far beyond my typical day-to-day experiences. Despite this unusual state, I continued with my plans for a weekend hiking and camping trip with Sharon to the Mt. Adams Wilderness Area.

Our drive took longer than expected, and we arrived too late to reach the developed campground. We decided to set up our tent in a nearby snow park area. As we sat outside the tent, my heightened sensory perception returned, this time more profoundly. It felt as though I had sensory receptors in the dirt, the sky, and the trees. I could not only see the ground and the beautiful surroundings but also feel them as if I had grown roots connecting me to everything around me. It was an overwhelming experience of “all that I can see is myself.”

That night, after eventually falling asleep beside Sharon, I awoke to a great light enveloping our tent. Stepping outside, I saw a Great Light in the sky, illuminating the entire area without casting any shadows, despite the late hour. I woke Sharon, and together we witnessed this extraordinary phenomenon. To this day, I remain uncertain whether this light was related to my heightened mystic awareness or if it was a coincidence, possibly a UFO bathing us in its radiance.

Upon returning home, I shared the experience with my mother, who mentioned that a similar mysterious light had been reported in the Mt. Adams Wilderness Area the week before. This synchronicity further deepened my contemplation of the interconnectedness of such experiences.

The heightened sensory perception I experienced in 1992 was more than just a temporary state. It represented a profound connection to the natural world, allowing me to perceive and interact with nature in an entirely new way. This form of mystic awareness suggests that our senses can be gateways to deeper understanding and connection with the universe.

Mystic awareness is not an isolated event but part of a greater cosmic connection. It invites us to see ourselves as integral parts of the universe, deeply connected to all that surrounds us. This awareness can transform our perception of reality, allowing us to experience life with greater depth and meaning.

Moments of mystical awareness can be catalysts for both personal and societal transformation. They urge us to reflect on our experiences and consider their broader implications for humanity. By embracing and exploring these moments, we can foster a more open-minded and enlightened approach to life.

The mysterious light in the Mt. Adams Wilderness Area serves as a reminder of the interconnectedness of personal mysticism and reported phenomena. Such events challenge conventional thinking and encourage us to explore the unknown. They invite us to consider the possibility that our experiences are part of a larger, interconnected tapestry of reality.

The summer of 1992 was a pivotal moment in my life, awakening me to the profound potential of mystic awareness. It taught me that our senses are powerful tools for connecting with the universe and that moments of heightened perception can lead to significant personal growth. By adopting a more open-minded approach to mystical experiences, we can unlock new dimensions of understanding and transform both ourselves and society.

I encourage you to reflect on your own experiences and consider their broader implications. What moments of mystic awareness have you encountered? How have they shaped your perception of reality? By exploring these questions, we can continue to grow and evolve, both individually and collectively.

Let’s embrace the unknown and continue our journey toward greater understanding and spiritual growth.

Iris and Me

In 2007, we had two cottonwood trees fall across the center of our home.  They caused extensive damage, but to document those details is not my present intent.  Our wonderful spirit dog Iris,  endeared herself to me in a way that will forever hold a special place in my heart.  While the tree removal service tended to the fallen trees above our home, Iris and I entered into the home, and walked through the living room towards the hallway into the bedrooms.  Suddenly, Iris, who was walking behind me,  started feverishly barking, and I turned back to her, to see what her problem was.  I took a couple of paces back to her, and right then, a six-foot long, two hundred pound piece of the tree fell through the roof, and landed EXACTLY on the spot where I had been standing when Iris barked.  It landed with such a thunder that the house shook, and then I trembled, as well.

The tree service man later said, in forty years working  his trade, he had never before lost a load.  Iris had saved my life.  She was to die at the all too young age of seven, in December of that year, waking Sharon and I to a heart piercing death shriek and howl.  We got up and held her to close to us, as her life force left her.  Sharon and I felt like we had lost a precious child.  And I felt an almost disabling guilt for a while.  I felt as if my relapse into pain killer addiction after twenty sober years was somehow responsible for her own untimely death.  A most amazing side story to this is that ONE YEAR TO THE DAY, AND TO THE MINUTE (3:45 am), after Iris’s death, my father’s dog Rocky woke up, and started howling for two minutes.  Dad reported that Rocky had NEVER done that before, and he never did it again, until the day he died, June 23, 2016.

Looking at my life’s history, my heart has been broken by the Mystery.

World Famous Psychic Tyler Henry

Henry says he first started having psychic experiences when he was 10 and had a premonition that his grandmother was going to die, he told the Asbury Park Press.

Over time, he’s learned to “navigate those two realms,” he says to TODAY.com.

“I liken it to a volume dial in the sense that there’s always some degree of background noise, whether it’s tuning into my environment or the residual effects of someone I just interacted with,” he says. “When I do a reading I kind of consciously turn that volume dial up.”

The medium likens the experience of doing a reading to “lapsing into a state of being.” Henry may get mental or physical impressions, or even a “knowingness,” during a reading. Sometimes, the messages he receives are very vivid, while other times they’re a bit more fuzzy.

“I might have a very strong mental impression that feels like a memory, but it’s not mine, and I know objectively it’s not mine. When I start getting those sensations, that’s usually a good indicator that information is starting to seep up through the subconscious that I believe is not mine, that I genuinely feel is a message of some sort from some greater place,” he says.

The process also comes with a host of physical effects, including sweating. In recent years, the medium has also encountered health challenges that were unrelated to his line of work, including a collapsed lung and a brain cyst near the base of his brain.

“My job has taught me the importance of moderation and how you can only really give to others if on some level you’re able to refill your own cup and sustain oneself,” he says. “I think so many people who work in any form of energy exchange are very inclined to put their needs to the side.”

Henry is intentional about spacing out readings to preserve his mental and physical health. But if he waits too long to tap into his abilities, he starts to feel the need to “blow off that steam.”

“Either I will start getting a lot of impressions about my partner and what’s going on with his family at home or I’ll start randomly feeling almost like an itch you have to scratch. I’ll be like, ‘Hey, mom, do you have any friends that are going through anything right now?’” he says.

What he hopes Netflix viewers, including skeptics, take from the show

Henry says he’s less focused on convincing people of his abilities than he is on providing a “meaningful, evocative experience to someone who really needs it.”

But he has connected with skeptics, too — and there are many, as a cursory Google search will unearth.

“I’ve sat with so many people that started off as skeptics who were willing to sit with me and have a conversation and they were ultimately able to turn into believers, or at least I was able to move that needle a little bit closer to the realm of belief,” he says.

Living Life on a Wider Frequency of Being: Exploring the Possibilities of Telepathy, Psychometry, Medical Intuition, Enlightenment, and Remote Viewing

In our fast-paced, tech-driven world, many people are seeking deeper connections and understanding of the universe. Beyond the tangible and visible, there’s a realm where supranormal experiences—such as telepathy, psychometry, and medical intuition—are not just possibilities but realities. These are not reserved for those with traditional spiritual attunement or religious training. In fact, some individuals experience these phenomena spontaneously, without any form of prior spiritual or mystical practice.

It’s important to recognize that supranormal experiences can occur in individuals without traditional spiritual background. For instance, many report having psychic or intuitive abilities from a young age without any religious or spiritual guidance. I personally experienced psychometric abilities at the age of four and had a significant supranormal dream at eight, both devoid of any spiritual programming.

However, when I established a presence on a spiritual path in 1987, a diverse array of noetic and spiritual events began occurring regularly. This suggests that while spontaneous experiences are possible, intention and practice can significantly increase the probability of encountering exotic spiritual phenomena.

Intention and practice play crucial roles in enhancing one’s capacity for supranormal experiences. Whether it’s through meditation, mindfulness, or other forms of conscious practice, setting a clear intention can open doors to new realms of consciousness. Telepathy, psychometry, medical intuition, enlightenment, spiritual healing, mysticism, out-of-body experiences, and remote viewing become achievable in an untethered mind. By pushing the boundaries of our consciousness beyond conventional limits, we expand our frequency of being.

In our eternal journey of life, we are never limited to a single pathway. We often travel on paved roads provided by religion, culture, family, and personal experience. This shared infrastructure of consciousness is internalized within our minds and hearts, forming what some call the path of the sleeping giants.

Yet, there is always an unpaved road—the road of curiosity, intuition, insight, meditation, and experiences beyond the known. The choice lies between staying on the familiar paved path or embarking on new journeys of consciousness on unpaved paths. These paths lead us to unexplored regions of consciousness, known as the paths of the awakening soul. Along these routes, we may encounter or experience  what many mystics, saints, saviors, prophets, and healers have manifested, while experiencing ourselves in new and profound ways.

Our perspective is heavily influenced by our past experiences. When we only look through the eyes of an unhealed past, we remain chained to limiting memories and ignorance. However, when we open ourselves to change and establish a relationship with the Greater Self, we unlock new potentials for healing and enhanced capacities.

Spiritual healers, mystics, channelers, psychics, oracles, shamans, and enlightened beings live on a wider frequency of being than the average person. Their greater spiritual bandwidth allows them to bring knowledge from beyond normal human perception. While it’s easy to dismiss their abilities, an open-minded approach can reveal valuable insights.

Each of us is both a receiver and transmitter of information. We often believe that communication happens solely through words and body language, yet there’s another level of exchange that remains poorly understood. This level of communication involves extra-sensory perception and a life energy field that connects us all.

This life energy field, or morphic field, as termed by Rupert Sheldrake, is the collective consciousness of nearly eight billion human beings now living, as well as all humans and life that have existed before us. It is through this interconnectedness that we tap into the supranormal.

Remaining mindful, insightful, and engaged in real-life interactions enriches our social connections and overall well-being. Trusting technology alone for heart connections can be detrimental in the long run. Presence, both given and received, holds more value than mere information exchange.

The unknown is always present, and only those who have learned to suspend time-based thoughts can see through its special windows. This moment, free from fear and judgment, allows us to experience truth and spirit. By opening our minds and hearts, we find answers and experience the real miracle of life.

Non-dualistic knowledge emphasizes the interconnectedness of all things, requiring undivided and non-conflicted attention to perceive it. Dualistic knowledge often breeds division and separation. True teachers bring intellect coupled with heart awareness, fostering deeper connections and increased peace of mind.

Living life on a wider frequency of being involves exploring the possibilities of telepathy, psychometry, medical intuition, enlightenment, and remote viewing. Whether through intention and practice or spontaneous experiences, we can push the boundaries of our consciousness and discover new realms of existence.

By navigating the unpaved paths of curiosity and intuition, we open ourselves to profound experiences and deeper understanding. Let’s embrace these journeys and live life with an expanded sense of being.

Bruce

Presently, I am 67 years old, and I am learning how to live the life of a retired person. I am married to Sharon White, a retired hospice nurse, and writer. Whose Death Is It Anyway-A Hospice Nurse Remembers Sharon is a wonderful friend and life partner of nearly 30 years. We have three grandsons through two of Sharon's children. I am not a published writer or poet. My writings are part of my new life in retirement. I have recently created a blog, and I began filling it up with my writings on matters of recovery and spirituality. I saw that my blog contained enough material for a book, so that is now my new intention, to publish a book, if only so that my grandsons can get to know who their grandfather really was, once I am gone. The title for my first book will be: Penetrating The Conspiracy Of Silence, or, How I Lived Beyond My Expiration Date I have since written 7 more books, all of which are now posted on this site. I have no plans to publish any of them, as their material is not of general interest, and would not generate enough income to justify costs. I have taken a deep look at life, and written extensively about it from a unique and rarely communicated perspective. Some of my writing is from 2016 on to the present moment. Other writing covers the time prior to 1987 when I was a boy, then an addict and alcoholic, with my subsequent recovery experience, and search for "Truth". Others are about my more recent experiences around the subjects of death, dying, and transformation, and friends and family having the most challenging of life's experiences. There are also writings derived from my personal involvement with and insight into toxic masculinity, toxic religion, toxic capitalism, and all of their intersections with our leadere. These topics will not be a draw for all people, as such personal and/or cultural toxicities tends to get ignored, overlooked, or "normalized" by those with little time for insight, introspection, or interest in other people's points of view on these troubling issues. There also will be a couple of writings/musings about "GOD", but I try to limit that kind of verbal gymnastics, because it is like chasing a sunbeam with a flashlight. Yes, my books are non-fiction, and are not good reading for anybody seeking to escape and be entertained. Some of the writings are spiritual, philosophical and intellectual in nature, and some descend the depths into the darkest recesses of the human mind. I have included a full cross section of all of my thoughts and feelings. It is a classic "over-share", and I have no shame in doing so. A Master Teacher once spoke to me, and said "no teacher shall effect your salvation, you must work it out for yourself". "Follow new paths of consciousness by letting go of all of the mental concepts and controls of your past". This writing represents my personal work towards that ultimate end.
