Happy New Year to all!
How about creating a “New Year’s resolution” that actually has some value to more people than just to ourselves?
Don’t let the following Bible verse scare you away, It is non-threatening, and it is about everybody’s friend, the rainbow..
“and I will remember my covenant with you and with all living creatures. Never again will the floodwaters destroy all life. When I see the rainbow in the clouds, I will remember the eternal covenant between God and every living creature on earth.” Then God said to Noah, “Yes, this rainbow is the sign of the covenant I am confirming with all the creatures on earth.” —-Genesis 9:15-17
May the coming year bring many rainbows TO ALL CREATURES ON EARTH. May the coming year bring more healing, rationality and love to the damage caused by the floodwaters of our collective American Insanity and Political Dramas. Please do not come to the national, or the personal, discussion with ill-informed, unfair, and/or worn-out judgements, clenched fists, or loaded guns, for these are all the weapons of the clouded mind, which refuses to gave way to the rainbows.
“God” supposedly said it, and I now say it, too!. If our new year is not filled with rainbows, it is time to more thoroughly mine the clouds for their gifts to all of us. And, maybe we need to change our orientation to life, maybe we are not pointing ourselves in the right direction to be filled by the gifts that love and healing reveals to be ever-present. If we are happy with our present state of interpersonal affairs, and yet we remain isolated and detached from the world, that realization can be the impetus for more “cloud busting” attitudes that can lead to some amazing new spiritual rainbows.
Please do not hold people hostage to a past that has little or no reality in the present moment, for by holding others hostage, we imprison ourselves. All that we will ever see, unto eternity, is ourselves. How will we see ourselves today? We create the clouds, the floodwaters, and the rainbows. We can also create sunshine in our relationships and experience joy and companionship with all of creation.
The other option, the continued destruction of planet Earth, its animal and plant population, and enmity between its human populations through the “floodwaters destroying all of life” of the unhealed mind, is not an attractive alternative.
Enjoy this creation. Heal it, make it
whole. We are the “God”. We are the “Noah”. We are the “floodwaters”.
We are the “clouds”. We are the “all the creatures on Earth”. We are
the “rainbows”.
All that we shall ever see, unto eternity, is ourselves. How will we see ourselves in the new year?
Fill-er-up with rainbows, please!
Do not remember the former things, or consider the things of old. I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. —- Isaiah 43:18-19
The Root Chakra (from the Chopra Center)
Located at the base of the spine, the pelvic floor, and the first three vertebrae, the root chakra is responsible for your sense of safety and security on this earthly journey. The word Muladhara breaks down into two Sanskrit words: Mula meaning “root” and Adhara, which means “support” or “base.”
This is the first of the chakras of matter. Balancing the root chakra creates the solid foundation for opening the chakras above. Imagine that you’re laying the foundation for a house in which you’re going to live for a long time. A solid foundation embedded in firm soil will provide the stability you need to create a home filled with joy for years to come.
The root chakra is comprised of whatever grounds you to stability in your life. This includes your basic needs such as food, water, shelter, and safety, as well as your more emotional needs such as letting go of fear. When these needs are met, you feel grounded and safe, and you tend to worry less day to day.
Imbalances in the Root Chakra
If there is an imbalance in the root chakra you may experience anxiety disorders, fears, or nightmares. Physical imbalances may manifest as problems in the colon, with the bladder, with elimination, or with lower back, leg, or feet issues. In men, prostate problems may occur. Eating disorders may also be a sign of a root chakra imbalance.
NOTE: I am not a bible thumper, and I do not support Israel’s, or world Jewish oppression of the Palestinians, nor do I support right-wing conservative/evangelical pseudo-Christian agendas, fears, and hatreds towards Muslims, LGBT’s, immigrants, or any other non-Christian affiliated groups. It appears that those who most ardently support their own little tribes of misunderstanding are the ones who need to learn the art of “cloud busting” the most. The Bible, like the Koran, is just a book, filled with wisdom specific to the regions and time periods in which they were written. Some wisdom transcends time and geography, and the “religious books” that reference it.
