Reawakening the Divine Within: A Brief Summary Of The Journey Beyond the Overactive Mind

In a world that thrives on perpetual motion and noise, can we truly find silence within? This is the challenge faced by spiritual seekers today. The quest to access the fundamental silence at the center of our being, often overshadowed by the persistent chatter of our minds, is both ancient and contemporary. But what if the key to this silence is found not in suppression, but in the harmonious integration of energies we have long misunderstood?

Meditation often seems like a calming balm for our overactive minds, yet its true potential lies in transformation. Through the use of sacred images or word mantras, we can focus our intention and unlock deeper layers of consciousness.

The mantra “Master Teacher of the Light,” also became a guiding light in my meditation practice. It was a key that opened doors to realms beyond the physical, where the structured thoughts of the mind dissolve into a network of universal consciousness.  The void I encountered in meditation, devoid of sensory input, was paradoxically filled with infinite potential—a womb of creation. It was here, in this space beyond light and darkness, that I realized the potential of all things, and it can inspire all of us to transcend individual limitations.  This act of letting go through meditative practice—releasing control—is more than just a metaphor. It’s a pivotal shift that allows us to access a dimension where intelligence and ignorance dance together in a complex matrix. Here, we can witness the duality of human consciousness, see beyond it,  and understand the interconnectedness of existence.

Understanding and expressing spiritual experiences in a universally accepted way is challenging. Yet, sharing these experiences contributes to the collective consciousness, encouraging empathy, growth, and the pursuit of the greater good. Our realities are but fragments of a more extensive, unfathomable existence, and it is through our shared journeys that we can begin to piece together this grand puzzle.

I invite you to share your experiences with spiritual awakening. Let’s create a community where we can explore these profound insights together. How have you connected with the divine within? What moments have led you to deeper self-discovery? Share your stories and help us all grow on this extraordinary path.

In the end, the quest for spiritual enlightenment is not about conquering the mind but harmonizing with it. It is about finding the balance between the masculine and feminine, acknowledging the divine within, and stepping into the potential that lies beyond the visible. Let’s walk this path together, in curiosity, wonder, and awe.

Between Light and Darkness: My Journey Towards Cosmic Awakening

Challenger Explosion January 28, 1986-The day I attempted suicide, and began my Search For Truth

In January 1986, the world watched in horror as the Challenger spacecraft broke apart, taking with it the lives of seven souls and the dreams of a generation. On that same day, lost in the personal abyss of my own despair, I stood on the precipice of self-eradication. However, my story did not end there; rather, it catapulted me into a cosmic odyssey that radically transformed my understanding of existence, purpose, and the very fabric of reality.

Over a year after the Challenger tragedy, during a two-month period in 1987, I encountered what can only be described as cosmic or spiritual revelations. The failure to end my life propelled me into a search for truth, healing, and understanding that has subsequently defined my existence. The cosmic connection demonstrated, in a way words can scarcely capture, their profound potential to serve as catalysts for personal healing and growth. Through this new lens, the darkest moments of anguish became doorways to enlightenment, offering glimpses into realms beyond my ordinary comprehension.

Attempting to convey the substance of these experiences often feels like trying to explain color to someone who has only known shades of gray. The language I use in my day-to-day life falls dramatically short of capturing the magnitude and essence of the cosmic. These experiences exist in a realm that transcends human understanding, feeling nearly alien in nature. Yet, they hold an intrinsic truth that resonates at the very core of my being, challenging me to expand my perception and grasp the ungraspable.

Before these revelations, my worldview was firmly entrenched in the physical and the palpable. The cosmic encounters, however, drew back the veil on a universe vibrating with interconnectedness and purpose, starkly contrasting my previous perception of a dissociated and indifferent existence. This profound shift challenged me to reassess my place within this tapestry, marking the transition from a seeker of oblivion to a seeker of truth. It underscored that my life, and all lives are not merely sequences of DNA expressing itself in human form or sequences of events happening to disconnected people, but a mesh of cosmic significance that we are only beginning to understand.

The path from the brink of self-destruction to spiritual awakening was not merely a search for meaning but a poignant quest for healing. The aftermath of the Challenger tragedy served as a metaphor for my own shattered existence, a mirror reflecting the fragmentation within. Yet, it also became a beacon of hope—a reminder that from the ashes of despair can rise the phoenix of transformation. This journey illuminated the crucial importance of confronting and healing from all traumas, not as a prerequisite for spiritual enlightenment, but as a fundamental aspect of it.

Integrating the insights from these cosmic experiences into the fabric of my daily life has been an ongoing voyage of discovery. It is one thing to touch the infinite; it is another entirely to bring that vastness back into the confines of the mundane. My life has since been an exercise in balancing the celestial with the terrestrial, striving to remain grounded while navigating the endless expanses of spiritual growth and self-discovery. This path is not without its challenges, for the allure of the cosmic can sometimes overshadow the beauty of the fleeting moment. Yet, it is a testament to the human spirit’s resilience and its relentless pursuit of the ultimate truth.

The cosmic experiences of 1987 were not an end but a beginning—a heralding of a lifelong commitment to exploring the depths of consciousness and the mysteries of the universe. They remind me that within each of us lies the potential for profound transformation and awakening. In this vast cosmos, our sorrows and joys, our beginnings and endings, are woven into a tapestry far more intricate and beautiful than we could ever imagine.

How does one capture lightning in a bottle?  Hos does one stuff a trillion tons of material into a five pound bag?  How does one live an eternity in an hour?  How does one contain infinity within the porous boundaries of words?  Artists, poets, musicians, and seers through the ages have made their best efforts at “mission impossible”.

Now, so have I.

The Many Paths to Spiritual Clarity–A Journey Beyond the Ego

In the quest for a deeper understanding of existence, there’s an intricate labyrinth that each seeker must traverse, populated by a myriad of spiritual experiences. This diversity in spirituality is a testament to the boundless reach of human consciousness. Yet, in this rich tapestry of mystical encounters, there exists a profound distinction between ordinary spiritual experiences and those that usher us into the realm of true enlightenment—undistorted visions of the divine.

The landscape of spiritual revelation is vast and varied. From the spontaneous awe at nature’s grandeur to structured religious ceremonies, humans have continuously sought connection with the divine. These moments can indeed serve as glimpses into a reality greater than ourselves. However, not all spiritual experiences lead to profound personal transformation. In many cases, they merely scratch the surface of our consciousness without challenging the deeper constructs of our being.

Central to our spiritual ceilings is the ego—a construct defined by a collection of psychological wounds and defenses forged through life’s trials. We need not be ashamed or feel defensive about our egos, as they were noble, yet unskilled attempts at adapting to a world that has not yet learned how to love itself. Yet, the ego colors the world in self-centric hues, often shrouding the objective reality of the spiritual realm. An ego untempered by introspection and healing becomes a cage, limiting our potential for genuine spiritual insight.

I have found that there exists an unencumbered way of seeing—an enlightened vision, clear of the distorting influence of a wounded ego. Such clarity allows for an expansive, openhearted engagement with the divine. It is here, in this state of lucidity, that we can perceive the infinite vista of spirituality with an untainted gaze.

Self-Awareness and Healing as Gateways to Enlightenment

The pathway to this higher spiritual vision is neither quick nor easy. It requires a pilgrimage inward—towards self-awareness and healing. Skirting around the edges of the ego does little to dissolve its barriers. Instead, a dedication to understanding and soothing our inner wounds sets the stage for the ego to become an ally rather than a hindrance to spiritual growth.  When we finally see our ego without judgment, we no longer feed its insecurities and distorted sense of shame.

The work involved in arriving at such a state of openness is immense, often involving meditation, contemplation, therapy, and honest self-assessment. Despite the challenges, the potential rewards are immeasurable: the transcendent union with what many describe as divinity, the universe’s consciousness, or simply the ultimate reality.

While many can claim spiritual experiences, few can attest to achieving enlightenment. The rarity and profundity of enlightenment set it apart from more commonplace manifestations of spirituality. It’s a state where one’s perception is so unimpeded that the observer merges with the observed, and divinity is not merely seen; it is experienced as one’s fundamental truth.

Enlightenment represents the peak of spiritual clarity—a place where the ego is neither bruised nor inflated but simply absolved into the vastness of divine consciousness. It is here that we encounter the infinite vision that transcends mundane interpretations of spirituality.

To commit oneself to the pursuit of enhanced spiritual vision is to invite the possibility of profound personal transformation. It is about cultivating an attitude of humility, openness, and resilience against the trappings of the ego. By engaging in spiritual practices aimed at seeing the ego completely, one can begin the incredible voyage towards a higher form of consciousness. This journey doesn’t pledge constant bliss or immediate enlightenment but offers a chance to understand oneself, and thus, the world, in a deeply enriched context. Such is the pursuit worth undertaking for those who yearn for a reality unobstructed by the ego’s veil.

The Endless Pursuit Of Truth And Real, Lasting Knowledge

In 1987, I was still quite new to the path of healing and transformation.  I had left my old, spiritually disconnected life behind, and I was open to an enhanced understanding and experience of spirituality and its mastery. I had developed quite a meditation practice, temporarily eschewing committed relationships with others in order to develop mystical awareness. I remained excited about the possibilities for my life, as I had finally made conscious contact with the God of my understanding, and it was, initially, the vision of the Divine Mother image nursing a baby.

The sacred image of a mother holding and feeding a baby inspired me to reach a different part of myself, a  part that had been closed off to me by the lifelong effects of personal and intergenerational trauma and patriarchy. For millennia, the Divine Feminine has been silenced by a patriarchal worldview. Yet, it is essential to understand that spirituality is not merely a pursuit of the masculine, structured, and analytical mind, but also an acknowledgment and honoring of the feminine energy within us all. A profound vision I experienced—of the Mona Lisa holding a baby—taught me this lesson. The image, painted by Leonardo Da Vinci, is more than just an artistic masterpiece; it is a representation of the feminine divine. Da Vinci, in creating a self-portrait as the Mona Lisa, was paying homage to his own feminine nature, recognizing the creative force that lies within.

The image of the Mona Lisa holding a baby as a nurturing and birthing presence is a powerful metaphor for the rebirth of the self. It speaks to a universal truth that transcends gender—our capacity to birth new realities through compassion, intuition, and creativity. It embodies the love and goodness we all seek, and the profound, healing power of connecting with this divine aspect of ourselves.

This vision brought me dramatic, though temporary, healing of my body and mind, and a new energy permeated my being. I had been rebirthed into and was now swimming in the sea of transcendent meaning,  though I still had not connected the dots, or started consciously rebuilding my new self. The experience of the vision lasted twenty-nine days, then seguewaid into a mountain top experience on June 22nd that finished the healing process of my damaged body and mind,  while temporarily allowing me to see, and to perceive, with an unlimited mind, .

But, I could have never anticipated the spiritual experience I was about to have, again twenty nine days later, on July 21, 1987.

Master Teacher of the Light, Master Teacher of the Light”

I repeated within myself several times during an evening meditation, which is a mantra that I had developed to aid the focus for my meditation practice. I was meditating several hours a day, and though my life was bearing fruit from previous connections with the Spirit, I remained driven to go deeper into the Great Unknown, and experience of my true nature and being. This meditation was to become Truth’s bell ringer for me.

Without warning, I was lifted from my body awareness, and I then had a sense that I now had a decision to make. It was like I was driving an automobile, and I realized that I could continue steering, and heading in my usual direction for life, or I could

“Let go of the controls”

and experience something totally different and unique. I then released the steering wheel of my mind where all of my conditioned sense of self resided, or through an act of grace it was released for me, and there was an exhilarating inner rush whereby I was totally released from myself and my burdens, and my body!  My essence traveled into a great unknown, neither light or dark, and it was like I passed through some sort of great matrix of energy until I came to a place of complete darkness,  or emptiness. I felt totally at home here.

Almost immediately, a laughing, happy voice seemed to be speaking to me, or, more precisely, through me. As I/we spoke, it said

“No teacher shall effect your salvation, you must work it out for yourself”,

“Think no thoughts”,

“Follow new paths of consciousness”,

Lim dT/dt, as t>0, T=F(time based thought, timeless thought), t= time, d= delta or change in,

The final messages, however, were difficult to reconcile within my life, and the ones which were quite troubling. First, there is this component:

 “YOU CAN’T BE REAL“.

When it was stated, it was stated through me, with a joyful, laughing voice, yet when I re-entered my normal way of being, it became a threatening statement, and one that continued to challenge myself, and my ego daily for many, many years afterwards.

Lastly, this most confusing revelation came, as well. For the first time in my life, I could see the field of life energy that constituted my body/mind awareness.  Within it were embedded energy anomalies.

“Prepare consciousness by purifying its field of non-essential energies.”.

Many more profound experiences have both preceded, and followed, the summer of 1987 spiritual events.

I have broken down this unique meditation experience into eight parts to highlight its transformative teachings.

Part 1:  Master Teacher Of The Light, Master Teacher Of The Light, as a Mantra

The Profound Power of Mantras in Meditation

In the realm of meditation, mantras emerge as both a sanctuary for the wandering mind and a gateway to deeper realms of consciousness. Often, when we engage in the practice of meditative chanting or repetition, the focus is placed heavily on the sound or the act itself. However, it’s crucial to recognize that the potency of a mantra transcends its auditory dimensions. It rests significantly in the conscious understanding and emotive resonance of its meaning within us.

The true power of mantras in meditation does not solely reside in the repetition of sounds, but in the conscious exploration and embodiment of the mantra’s significance. When a mantra is not only chanted but its essence is felt and understood, it transforms into a compass that guides the mind toward a profound state of awareness and introspection.

This understanding pivots on the principle that words carry energy—not just through their phonetic sound but through the conscious meaning they convey. When we align our focus with this meaning, it illuminates paths within our consciousness, directing us toward specific states of being, realization, or peace.

Mantras serve as powerful focal points, offering the mind a beacon to return to amidst the distractions and fluctuations of thought. In the tapestry of meditation, where the mind seeks to untangle itself from the incessant flow of thoughts, a mantra becomes a steady stream of clarity. It offers not just a point of concentration but a depth of understanding and connection that transcends the superficial layers of the self.

When the essence of a mantra is revealed and experienced, it acts like a key unlocking doors within ourselves—doors to rooms filled with peace, clarity, and spiritual awakening. These experiences foster a profound inner transformation that resonates beyond the time spent in meditation, seeping into the fabric of our daily lives.

The transformative power of mantras lies in their capacity to evoke a particular state of consciousness. They are tools that can foster inner peace, clarify mindscapes, and catalyze spiritual growth. This process is deeply personal and subjective, meaning the effectiveness and impact of a mantra can significantly vary from one individual to another. Yet, this variability does not diminish their potential; rather, it highlights the importance of finding a mantra that speaks to the depths of one’s being.

Engaging with a mantra is not merely a practice of vocal repetition but an act of profound listening and feeling. It is about hearing with the heart and the soul, not just the ears. When a mantra is truly understood and internalized, its vibrational essence resonates within, creating ripples across the consciousness—ripples that can transform the very core of our being.

The incorporation of mantras in meditation embodies a practice of profound significance. It’s a dialogue between the self and the essence of existence, mediated through the conscious meaning of sacred words. This practice invites us not just to speak or listen but to feel and comprehend the profound layers of meaning beyond the surface.  The mantra becomes more than a tool; it evolves into a companion on our spiritual journey, a guide towards the inner sanctum of our consciousness. Herein lies its true value—not merely in the ritual of repetition but in the depth of connection and understanding it fosters. As we explore the landscape of meditation with mantras, we unlock the potential for transformation, not just within the parameters of our meditation practice, but in the essence of our lives.

Part 2:  Let Go Of The Controls

“Embracing Self-Discovery: Liberating Our Divine Nature”

The human experience is a complex weave of interlacing threads. Each of us is a tapestry of past experiences, familial influences, cultural traditions, and the religious or lack thereof impositions that have framed our understanding of existence. However, I have entertained a most radical notion—a transcendence of these threads, a shedding of the past to uncover a divine nature that lies dormant within, awaiting liberation.

Our past, whether rich with wisdom or shackled by the ignorance of bygone days, serves as a template through which we see the world. Yet, how often do we question the integrity of this template? The stories of our ancestors, etched into the stone of tradition, impose narrative controls that shape our beliefs and behaviors. They offer comfort in the familiar and guidance in the familiar. But at what cost?

We must recognize that these foundations, laid before we were conscious beings, may bind us, obscuring the potential for personal growth and true self-understanding. Our task, then, is to peel back the layers of historical influence, to untangle ourselves from the rigid expectations of the past, and to forge a new narrative that empowers our individual and collective progression.

The road to liberation is fraught with uncertainty and self-doubt. To cast aside the prevailing narratives is an act of rebellion, a daring defiance against the status quo. Nonetheless, it is within this tempest of change that we discover the full breadth of our capabilities. Self-discovery is the catalyst for this transformation, leading us to confront the shadows of our upbringing and culture.

It requires a willingness to be vulnerable, to ask difficult questions, and to challenge long-held truths. There is a reckoning of the soul in this process, a shedding of outdated and limiting beliefs that no longer serve our divine nature. Only through the raw and unapologetic act of self-examination can we cast off the chains of the past and step into the luminous arena of our true potential.

The influences of family and culture, while often offered with love, can sometimes be the most insidiously binding. They are the silent directives that dictate our life’s course, the whispers of “should” and “should not” that punctuate our days. What becomes of the individual who dares to dissent, who chooses a path unmarked by the traditions of yesteryear?

We are each tasked with the immense challenge of evaluating these influences critically, discerning what is supportive and what is stifling. This is not a renouncement of our roots, nor is it an act of derision against tradition. It is the recognition that our family and cultural teachings are but one drop in the vast ocean of human knowledge and experience. We honor our heritage by adding our unique ripples to the collective waters, by contributing our individual truths to the greater flow of existence.

Religion, in all its multifaceted forms, exerts a formidable grip on the human psyche. It is the architect of morality, the solace of the uncertain, and the bane of the non-conforming. To transcend religious constructs is to cast off the yoke of prescribed spirituality in favor of a more personal divine communion.

It is not an invitation to forsake faith, but rather a call to deepen it. By moving beyond dogma and ritual, we encounter the transcendent—God, the Universe, or the Divine Source—in the quiet recesses of our being. It is here, in the hushed sanctuaries of our solitude, that we can commune with the truth that necessitates no mediator. We are the priest, and the temple is within us.

To embrace our divine nature is to recognize that we are more than the sum of our parts. We are not merely reflections of the past, but creators of the future. We are the architects of our individual truth and the champions of our unique essence. The act of self-discovery is the alchemy through which we transmute the base materials of our history into the gold of our divine potential.

This potential manifests in myriad forms—creativity unbounded, love unconditionally given, and healing unfathomable. It is the life unfettered by the constraints of collective trauma and constructed beliefs. It is the experience unencumbered by external controls, a life lived in concert with the rhythms of the soul.

I have found that the act of self-discovery and liberation from the past is a daunting but ultimately rewarding endeavor. It is, in many ways, the hero’s journey, with the hero being each of us. By shedding the thought-controls imposed by historical influence, we find ourselves on the threshold of a reality unfettered by the constraints of the past, ready to taste the sweetness of infinite possibility and to experience the vastness of our divine potential.

This is not a call to revolution, but one to evolution—an invitation to all to look inward and to recognize the dormant divinity within. It may be the most audacious act we undertake, and yet, it is the most essential. For in the recognition of our individual sovereignty, we not only heal ourselves but contribute to the healing of our collective humanity. In this act of collective liberation, we find the most profound expression of our divine nature—and it is a nature that beckons for each of us to explore, to know, and to become.

Part 3:   No Teacher Shall Effect Our Salvation, We Each Must Work It Out For Ourselves.

Empowerment Through Self-Directed Growth

Set your course by the stars, not by the light of every passing ship–Omar Bradley

In a world that lionizes heroic teachers and stories of saviors, I find myself taking a step back. No matter how numerous the tales of impactful mentors or how fervently we believe in the power of education, the essence of human growth and empowerment lies chiefly in the unmistakable act of self-determination. For every life that has been dramatically altered by external forces, there is an untold narrative of individual resolve and self-directed energy driving transformations of equal, if not greater, significance. It’s a narrative of personal responsibility and ownership that has profound implications, not just in the lives of individuals, but in our collective understanding of what it means to grow and evolve.

Each of us is the curator of our own development. In our existence, the choices, actions, and passions weave the intricate design that is our personal legacy. While it’s a beautiful thought to imagine that a single mentor can illuminate the path to self-awareness and success, the reality is much richer—and perhaps, scarier. True growth demands agency; an active participation in the unfolding of our lives that goes beyond the occasional words of wisdom from a passing guide.

It is by our own volition that we chart the course of our lives. The school of life isn’t composed of sitting at the feet of so-called spiritual masters, classroom lectures and neatly-prepared lesson plans by popular authors, or sitting with 100 neighbors listening to the latest sermon from the minister; it is an open sea that beckons with undulating uncertainty. Though there may be rests in the shallows, and advisories offered by those who traverse these waters before, the winds and waves are ultimately navigated by the sailor alone.

Personal responsibility is the compass that ensures every decision is a landmark in our growth. It’s the accountability to our own ambitions and to the people we want to become. The risks we take and the lessons we learn serve not only to carve out our individuality but to cultivate a profound sense of self.

The current structure of education paints mentorship and teaching in strokes of indispensability, yet in the arguments of self-determination, lies an underappreciation of learning through one’s own efforts. Classrooms, while undoubtedly valuable, can become a sanctuary of learned helplessness—prompting students to wait on instruction rather than seek out their own solutions.

I am not advocating for abandoning the value of education or dismissing the role of teachers. It is, however, that empowerment through self-directed growth is not only valuable to personal development but is the missing piece in a truly holistic approach to learning and development.

While I strongly stress the need for self-reliance, there exists a spectrum where mentorship and self-determination needn’t be mutually exclusive. When we find ourselves at the precipice—ahead an insurmountable obstacle or at a crossroads where direction seems to fail—there is solace and wisdom in seeking counsel. Herein lies the beauty of the human condition; we are at once capable of rising to any challenge, and humbly aware that growth often occurs when we stand on the shoulders of giants.

Think of the mentor as the wind that fans the flame of the self. The mentor’s role then is not to overshadow or guide completely, but to provide sustenance and the occasional gust that pushes the ember toward a brighter, warmer glow. This approach maintains the sanctity of individual development, where the self-directed flame is the source of one’s personal evolution.

Yet, there are times when the storm is so severe that the solitary flame risks extinguishment. This is when the steady voice of a mentor is not only welcome but imperative. It’s not a call to perpetuate dependency, but to recognize that even the fiercest wills need support occasionally. This is not to diminish the resolve that lies within us, but to celebrate the network of interdependence that humanity is built upon.

I am not advocating for isolationism. My insight into this whole process reveals the beauty of individual growth, the power of self-determination, and the resilience that arises from these pursuits. It also acknowledges the enrichment found in the community of human experience, in the teachings of others, and the necessity of coming together in moments of struggle.

The Myth of the Savior: Why We Must Become Our Own Heroes

Humanity has long harbored a fascination with the notion of saviors, avatars, and superheroes. In times of turmoil and despair, our eyes collectively turn skyward, waiting for Superman to swoop down or for a prophetic figure to part the seas of uncertainty that lay before us. This pervasive yearning for external deliverance reveals a curious aspect of our psychology — the reluctance to wrestle with our own demons and the hesitancy to take the reins of our destiny.

Throughout history and across cultures, the allure of a messianic figure bringing salvation has been a recurring motif. From the religious avatars etched in ancient scriptures to the caped crusaders of modern comic books, we see a pattern unfold — a manifestation of our collective unwillingness to brave the tempestuous voyage toward self-reliance. This quest for a hero is not merely about wanting to be rescued; it speaks to an ingrained resistance to confront the laborious task of self-salvation.

The vicarious thrill that comes with witnessing acts of valor by deities or superheroes is intoxicating, but it belies an uncomfortable truth. Our investment in these figures often correlates with a diminished appetite for personal accountability. We become spectators in our own lives, cheering from the sidelines, waiting for someone else to tackle the grand challenges we face.

Society’s fixation on saviors has led to a pernicious side effect — a sort of complacency that threatens the very fabric of communal resilience. The issue transcends the escape provided by religious saviors or comic book heroes; it seeps into our dealing with real-world problems. When faced with global crises like climate change or social injustice, the immediate reaction is to hunt for a singular, extraordinary leader who can steer humanity away from catastrophe.

However, the danger in this dependency is clear. Leaning too heavily on saviors can stifle initiative, mute the collective voice of activism, and undermine the agency each individual possesses. The prospect of a hero emerging to resolve our woes absolves us, in some measure, from the responsibility of grappling with complex societal issues.

Heroes, no doubt, play a vital role in our society. They serve as beacons of hope, inspiring us to aspire beyond our perceived limitations. But a skewed balance tilts the scale away from recognizing our own potential to catalyze change. We all harbor abilities that can significantly impact our communities — if only we muster the courage to wield them.

The narratives of salvation should not eclipse the strength found in collective action and the profound changes that spring forth from collaborative effort. If history has showcased anything, it’s that revolutions begin not with a messiah, but within the hearts and minds of the people.

To disrupt the cycle of savior-seeking, a cultural shift is necessary. Our stories need to celebrate not only the singular hero but also the might of ordinary individuals coming together in times of need. By encouraging each person to shoulder their fragment of the world’s weight, we align ourselves more closely with the reality that large-scale transformation is the sum of countless small acts.

This shift also calls for reframing leadership not as the dominion of the few, but as a mantle that each one of us can don in our capacities. Empowering local champions, fostering environments for community problem-solving, and nurturing self-efficacy must be at the heart of our new approach.

It is time to redefine heroism, to pull it from the pedestals of mythology and ground it in the everyday. In teaching ourselves and future generations the importance of stepping up to the plate, we imbue them with the power to take control and make a difference.

We should not dispense with our heroes, but we must learn to become them. By cultivating a culture wherein each person is recognized as a vital cog in the machinery of progress, we construct an enduring legacy — one where the human spirit, undeterred by the absence of a savior, becomes the hero it has been waiting for.

Allow the next chapter of our collective story to be one of awakening, in which we cease the search for the superhuman and finally realize the heroes we seek reside within us. That realization may be our truest path to salvation — a salvation forged by our hands, our will, and our unyielding spirit.

I have witnessed far too many acquaintances and friends lord over each other their relationships with often illusory concepts of channelers, avatars, saviors, and/or prophets, all the while neglecting, ignoring, or disrespecting a most profound truth.  We are to empower ourselves through the agency of our actions, and to recognize that while others can show the way, it is we who must do the walking.  The enlightened walk among us, yet we can’t fully see their light, for we have disrespected our own with egoism, and the ignorant, though often well-meaning narratives from those we call our tribe..  In the end, no teacher, no parent, no savior will work out salvation for us; we must each undertake this most personal of journeys ourselves.

Part 4:  Think No Thoughts

The Pursuit of Higher Truths Through Inner Listening

In a world loud with the cacophony of opinion and the clamor of a million voices vying for our attention, there exists a pristine, silent realm—lost to most—where truth resides. It is a space we seldom visit, overshadowed by the urgency of daily life and the constant chatter of our own thoughts. Yet, within this sanctuary lies the power to unveil our truest selves, to hear the whispers of divinity, and to unravel the deepest mysteries of existence. The pursuit of these higher truths is not for the faint-hearted, as it requires us to abandon the fortress of our intellect and venture into the fragile landscape of our own silence.

Inner listening, also known as introspection, contemplation, or mindfulness, is a practice with roots that trace back to ancient spiritual traditions. It constitutes a profound form of communication with the self, a state of receptive awareness where we not only hear the passing of our own breath but also the seismic messages pulsing from the depths of our psyche. This disciplined focus allows us to attune to a spectrum of subtle frequencies of being otherwise drowned out by external noise.

In a modern context, inner listening is a revolutionary act of self-care, akin to an inoculation against the virulent strains of superficial living. It is a skill that demands practice, shaping itself slowly, like a river etches out the earth, carving a path through the layers of our consciousness and connecting us with the core of our being. The pursuit of higher truths through inner listening is nothing short of a personal odyssey, a timeless quest that each of us must undertake alone. It involves peeling back the layers of conditioning that shroud our perception, unveiling the undiscovered country of our own heart. Through solitude and stillness, inner listening provides access to a repository of wisdom that lies dormant within, waiting for the seeker to stir its slumber.

In this sacred silence, we find that truth is not static but dynamic, unfurling in response to our yearning for understanding. It is not a destination to be reached, but a perpetual state to be experienced—always present, always evolving. This pursuit gifts us with the ability to discern the ephemeral from the eternal, to distinguish between the opinions we inherit and the insights we discover. The path of inner listening is not without its challenges. It necessitates confronting the shadows that lurk in the recesses of our consciousness, challenging our insecurities and illuminating the unvarnished truth of our reality. The mind rebels against the quiet, fearing it might uncover the voids it has diligently worked to conceal. Yet, the rewards that await are commensurate with the inner landscape’s daring exploration.

By overcoming these mental barriers, we experience a liberation of the spirit. The clarity that ensues is a balm for the restless heart, forging a pathway toward self-actualization and a profound sense of peace. The benefits of this pursuit extend beyond the individual, resonating in the quality of our relationships, our contributions to the world, and our connectedness with the universe at large.

My own odyssey of inner listening began in meditative stillness. Like a tentative explorer charting an unknown territory, I closed my eyes and took the first step into the unseen world within. The initial moments were disorienting, with a constant chatter of an internal committee in chaos and disharmony.  Eventually the committee was to adjorn, revealing a mysterious quiet..The silence was extraordinary and peaceful.  As I persisted, I found that this quietude was not empty but full, bursting with insights that was not accessible or available in the previous clamor.

Over time, I deciphered that the messages from this inner realm were not directives but invitations—to grow, to heal, to expand my understanding. I came to realize that within us, like a wellspring, flows the source of our being, eager to commune with us and guide our path through life’s labyrinth. This intimate dialogue became the foundation for my own pursuit of higher truths and a touchstone for navigating the inevitable complexities of existence.

The implications of this practice on personal growth are profound. It catalyzes an evolution of virtues—patience, humility, and courage—that are the hallmarks of the human potential fully realized. Inner listening fosters a sense of self-possession, anchoring us amidst life’s tempests, and ignites within us a flame of resilience that no gale can extinguish.

It also serves as a catalyst for creativity, birthing ideas and innovations from our most authentic state of being. The synergy between our inner truth and the creative process is electric, breeding outcomes that resonate with the collective consciousness and inspire change.

The pursuit of higher truths through inner listening stands as an eminent testament to the ineffable power that resides within each of us. It indelibly marks the course of our personal narratives, affording us a depth of character and a richness of experience that transforms the mundane into the sacred.

Amidst a world that bombards us with noise and distractions, the commitment to inner listening is a revolutionary act—an act that necessitates neither creed nor ritual but an open heart and a willing spirit. It is a voyage of self-discovery that holds, within its silent spaces, the very fabric from which our divine essence is sewn. And though the path may be solitary, the truths discovered are the shared inheritance of all who choose to listen.

The Sacred Now: Releasing the Chains of Time-Bound Thoughts

There are multitudes of time dependent thoughts that clamor for attention and repetition, making us think more, and thus take us out of this moment.  In the relentless tide of time, our thoughts often drift—backwards to the shadows of the past, or forwards to the uncertain whispers of the future. We find parts of ourselves entangled in the tendrils of nostalgia, gripped by the cold hand of regret, or lost in a sea of grief. Equally, we are drawn into imagining a self that is better, different, more in line with our idols or ideals, forgetting to treasure who we are at this moment. We engage in an endless race against others, against time, against ourselves. But herein lies the paradox—while half of us resides in yesterdays or tomorrows, the other half is anchored here, beckoning us to stay, if only for a while.

Indeed, residing too long in what has been or what can be shackles us, rendering us spectral onlookers to our own lives. We’re told ‘Time waits for no one,’ yet ironically time is all we seem to give it—our attention, our energy, our days. In this habitual deference to times gone or yet to come, we ignore a vital truth: the present is the only moment we truly possess.

Grief, regret, and nostalgia serve a purpose, no doubt. They are our psyche’s way of processing change, loss, learning, and the richness of life’s tapestry. However, when we allow these emotions to dictate our existence, we forfeit the vibrancy of now for the faded hues of then. These feelings should be transient visitors, not permanent residents in the home of our consciousness.

In a world where every achievement and flaw is magnified by the digital lens, it has become second nature to measure our lives against a bar that is not just high but perpetually changing. We battle incessantly to reach what we deem as ideal or to outshine the next person, forgetting that the ideal is an illusion, a mirage on the horizon of self-improvement. This obsession not only robs us of joy but can also instill a pervasive sense of inadequacy.

The capacity to dwell within the present moment, to truly inhabit it, might be one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves. Mindfulness is the anchor that draws us back from the temporal voyage to here, the sacred now. In mindfulness, there is no room for the regrets of yesterday or the worries of tomorrow; there is only the richness of the current experience, the beauty of life unfolding, moment by moment.

While it is human nature to reflect and to plan, to never do either would be to live without learning or aspiration. Yet, that bridge between experiences—the present—is where life happens. Striking a balance between honoring our past, hopeful envisioning of our future, and still staying present, is the golden trifecta of temporal existence.

We can loosen the grip of those time-dependent thoughts, offering them acknowledgment but denying them dominion. We can learn to oscillate gracefully between the then, the soon, and the now. We can live—truly and deeply—in the sentient, pulsing core of the present. For it is here, in the sacrosanct now, unburdened and liberated from the chains of an ever-advancing clock, that we find the essence of all that it means to be beautifully, wonderfully, human.

Part 5:  Follow New Paths Of Consciousness

Embracing New Paths of Consciousness for Personal Growth

The  paths of consciousness often lead us on an odyssey where the quest for truth is as formidable as it is fulfilling. In our pursuit of understanding, it becomes evident that fixed dogmas and age-old wisdom, while invaluable, may not chart the entirety of the human experience. It is in the synthesis of these established canons with the intrepid inquisitions into the microcosms of the inner self, God, universe, and love that we uncover a more profound and personal veracity. It is our inexorable human predicament and privilege to explore or create new paths of consciousness.

The enduring dialectic of personal growth and healing requires an alchemy that is at once esoteric and eminently human. Each of us carries the boundless potential to evolve our consciousness. In a world brimming with nascent ideas and ancient practices, we stand at the precipice of an era where integrating these diverse philosophies can propel us towards a more enlightened state.

Consciousness, the bedrock of sentience, is a multifaceted gem that refracts the light of experience into the spectrum of life. It is the essence of ‘self’ that propels us beyond the mundane and toward introspection and enlightenment. When we venture beyond the beaten intellectual tracks, we encounter new ways of being, thinking, and feeling.

At its core, consciousness is the awareness of both the inner and outer worlds. It’s the fulcrum upon which pivots the entire machinery of self-discovery. By exploring the expanses of our own consciousness, we peel layers of conditioning to reveal the authentic self – a self that transcends societal constructs and ingrained beliefs. New paths of consciousness afford us a more panoramic view of reality. They challenge us to question our assumptions, deconstruct our prejudices, and reimagine the narrative of our lives. These journeys are fraught with uncertainties and epiphanies, which serve as the crucible for personal metamorphosis.

Tradition, with its accrued wisdom and rituals, provides an anchor for society and psyche alike. The question then arises – how can we wed the old with the new without creating discord in the symphony of our lives? It is crucial to recognize the intrinsic value of the established paths while weaving a new tapestry that is more expansive and inclusive. Ancient paths, be they in the form of religious doctrines, spiritual philosophies, or cultural norms, have sustained humanity for millennia. They contain within them nuggets of perennial wisdom that continue to resonate with truth-seekers and adherents alike. They may be at the beginning of our spiritual journey, but they are not at the finish line of the adventure through Consciousness.

By discerning the kernels of truth present in traditional schools of thought and integrating them with the insights gleaned from novel journeys, we are able to craft an integrative and cogent worldview. This synergy ensures that no facet of the multifaceted human experience is neglected or alienated.

The voyage of self-discovery through new paths of consciousness is one of transformation. It compels us to reimagine ourselves in relation to the cosmos and the divine. This arduous yet rewarding trek is marked by moments of epiphany and the subsequent assimilation of newfound truths.  Each new path embarked upon signifies a rupture from the status quo. It challenges all habitual thinking and allows for the incorporation of diverse and enriching perspectives. This diversity serves as a rich soil for the blossoming of the invincible spirit that resides in every human heart.

The duality of discernment and integration is the crucible through which our consciousness is refined. It necessitates a discerning eye to sift through the dross and an integrative spirit to amalgamate what enriches the self and society in equal measure. In order to foster our personal growth and to heal the collective human soul, we must not shrink from the challenge of threading new paths of understanding. The call to action is clear – it is time to venture forth, to explore, to question, and to evolve. Only by doing so can we hope to uncover the infinite truths that lie within and without, transcending the limitations of preconceived ideas to find our own, authentic way.

Part 6:   Lim dT/dt, as t>0, T(thought)=F(time based, timeless), t= time, d= delta or change in.  The solution is dT(timeless)/dt + dT(time based)/dt=  (?)  Hint:  the Infinite Unknown + insight into personal and collective history

The infinite Universe, as accessed through the silence at our center, speaks in a unique language specifically tailored for each of us.  What originates within the divine as language or mathematics within our conscious mind is the energy bridge that links the limited, which is our conscious self, to the unlimited within and around us. For me, that language included the mathematical formula for re-entry back into the Timeless Sacred Silence, a formula that has never been proposed before, as far as I can determine.

It was a differential equation that I could understand, and which stated (in layman’s terms) that with insight into and subsequent elimination of the movement of time based thought, the direct perception of timeless reality was possible. The limit, as delta T goes to zero (T is thought as a function of time, and the timeless), divided by delta t (t is time itself), or lim dT/dt, as dt approaches zero, and T=f(t). This is a mathematical derivative or impulse to decipher the very essence of change superimposed upon the changeless.  Thought is both a function of time, and the timeless, and through understanding that relationship the esoteric and secret path to the enlightenment of human consciousness is revealed.

The Endless Pursuit of Understanding Change: Lim dT/dt as a Lens on Reality and Thought

In our relentless quest to comprehend the universe, we encounter concepts that stretch beyond the tangible and venture into the esoteric and the philosophical. One such concept is the mathematical expression Lim dT/dt, as t>0, encapsulating the idea of change over time. This notion is not only foundational in mathematics and physics but also riveting when considering its broader spiritual and philosophical implications.

Within the cerebral arenas of mathematics and physics, Lim dT/dt examines change’s pulsating core, particularly as time t approaches zero and thought T moves, both timelessly and time bound. At this ephemeral juncture, we glimpse the universe’s heartbeat—a constant rhythmic dance between the quantifiable and the inexplicable. This concept serves as a bridge between raw numbers and the enigmatic forces shaping our experiences.

The fundamental quandary rests upon the instantaneous rates of change. In mathematics, these rates encapsulate the very essence of calculus—the derivative—which scrutinize how variables metamorphose instantaneously. Encapsulated in this concept is the profound realization that every present moment is a crossroads of infinitesimal progression from the past into the future, with the timeless providing an eternal screen for all projections of our ever-changing thoughts.

Venturing into the philosophical terrain, Lim dT/dt prods at the nature of human thought, with its background of timelessness that time-based thought is eternally superimposed upon, still punctuated by an unyielding continuum of change until insight into this process brings time based thought to an end.  Can we find that singularity point within our consciousness where time based thoughts have ended?

Our reflection, intuition, and deduction are subject to the relentless ticking of time, if we only perseverate upon our unique timeline. Yet this is how we grease the wheels of enlightenment.  Each progressive step propels a dynamic recalibration of understanding and perspective.  dT, when T is a function of thought dependent time, and with dt approaching zero, the value becomes an impulse pointing toward infinity.  Yet, all of this activity takes place against the backdrop of the timeless, for dT, when T is a function of timelessness itself, that part of the derivative is zero divided by a value eternally approaching zero, which gives either the value of the Unknown, and/or of an ever-expanding Infinity.  The more that we are able to see that most of our thoughts are time dependent, the greater insight into the process we have, until. In an apocalyptic meditation, we finally see the illusory nature of time-based thinking, and STOP IT IN ITS TRACKS.  What is left?

In this context, the concept enunciates a fundamental truth: our cognitive process, like any system governed by the laws of physics, abides by the relentless flux of time. Our time-based thoughts are thus not static entities but dynamic constructs evolving with every tick of the existential clock. This realization beckons us to acknowledge that the acquisition of knowledge and wisdom is an unending odyssey, forever dictated by the silent lapping waves of temporal progression, all projected upon the screen of eternity and infinity.

Transcending the confines of abstraction, Lim dT/dt gleams with practicality—a tool of precision to predict complex systems’ behavior, be it meteorological phenomena, economic markets, or the labyrinth of human cognition. Its real-world repercussions are evident in its potential to optimize processes, whether through algorithms that anticipate trends, innovations that harness change’s momentum for technological breakthroughs, or witnessing how our perceptions and thoughts change in relation to concepts of time-based, or timeless thoughts.. This prism, through which we examine the evolution of systems and ideas, underscores its indispensability in diverse fields. From quantum mechanics, artificial intelligence, or process controls within our own consciousness, it serves as a guiding star, leading scientists, thinkers, and spiritual seekers alike to break new ground.

Advocating for a balanced discussion surrounding Lim dT/dt is essential. While its theoretical contours may seem arcane to the uninitiated, its palpable impact across disciplines cannot be overstated. Bridging this gap demands an interdisciplinary and accessible dialogue that respects the concept’s complexity while extolling its applicability.  Celebrating the symbiosis between theoretical exploration and functional application enriches our collective understanding. It underscores the harmony that can exist between pure scientific inquiry, mathematics, spiritual enlightenment and the quest to leverage such knowledge in concrete advancements.

As we continue to reflect on Lim dT/dt as t approaches temporal insignificance, the fabric of physical reality unravels but also touches upon the quintessence of thought itself. The solution to this derivative indicates that the present moment impulses of human thought and feeling complement, or are in conflict with whatever timeless concepts are being entertained within our consciousness.  Herein lies the beauty of such esoteric concepts—they serve as mirrors, reflecting not only the workings of the cosmos but also the undulating terrain of our innermost cognitions.

May we continue to chase after these wisps of comprehension, valuing the endeavor as much as any definitive answers it elicits. For it is within this pursuit where the true magnificence of the human spirit resides—forever inquisitive, forever yearning to decode the enigma of existence.

Further Understanding Lim dT/dt, dt>0, T=F(time based thought)

This seemingly arcane notation, borne of differential calculus, carries the essence of thought’s evolution with time. Lim dT/dt, dt>0 suggests that as time marches forward (dt>0), our thoughts (T) morph, evolve, and transform. It’s a radical departure from merely charting thoughts on a timeline; it is a mathematical representation that recognizes both the static and the dynamic, continuous nature of thought.

In contemplating consciousness, we’re no longer tethered to qualitative descriptions but can forge a quantitative understanding of the process. For time itself, once considered to be merely the backdrop to the human experience, becomes a variable. The timeless background is now seen to be our real backdrop, with the vicissitudes of time being projected upon it. This single expression, in the sterile domain of numbers, portends a renaissance in introspective inquiry of the highest order.

Emerging fields like neurophenomenology propose mathematical models to tackle the labyrinth that is the human mind. There’s a certain elegance and simplicity in reducing the cacophony of our inner world to equations. These models inform the abstraction of thought, the segregation of self from other, and provide fertile ground for the exploration of concepts like cognition and subjective experience.

Critics have long voiced the concern that by adopting a mechanistic view of the mind, we dehumanize the very essence of our being. Yet, I posit that by transmuting the intricacies of consciousness into mathematical language, we don’t diminish its wonder; we democratize its study. We make comprehensible that which was once deemed beyond reach.

If numbers are the language of the universe, can they also speak to the shaman’s visions and the mystic’s epiphanies? The grandeur of sacred texts often stems from metaphor, symbolism, and allegory, yet some mathematical underpinnings offer a different path to understanding. The golden ratio revered in artistic and natural beauty, the fractal geometry underpinning the Mandelbrot set — these are not mere curiosities but windows into a mathematical code that echoes throughout spiritual discourse.

In this intersection, we discover not a dichotomy but a continuum. The spiritual and the quantifiable are not exclusive; they resonate with harmonics that we are only beginning to discern. It’s a dialogue of humility and awe, where humanity’s longing for transcendence is met with the universe’s profound consistency.  And that profound consistency is the timeless background upon which our ego’s time dependent experience is imprinted upon.  When each impulse of thought is an insight or singularity leading back to the heart of infinity, we have touched upon the most sacred use of our intelligence, and its supporting thoughts., Our most holy background is the Truth that is eternally silent, until we embrace it back with fully opened hearts and minds.  Then we may experience the true miracle of existence, while being serenaded unto eternity with its healing song.

The Debate: Can Math Truly Capture Consciousness and Spirituality?

Mathematical equations, or even our verbal narratives, are but limited symbols or pointers to that which is unlimited.  Yet, they are necessary temporary containers for energy exchanges between different referential points, from human interactions up to the potential for divine union.  Yet, the prospect of equating our most profound states with numbers is not without its detractors. Some argue that to reduce rich experiences to mathematical formulae is not only reductive but inherently flawed. That which is sacred, they say, defies quantification. But history is replete with scientific revolutions that have expanded our understanding without diminishing the subjects of inquiry. The microscope once brought the unseen into focus; perhaps mathematics can serve as a supplementary microscope for the mind.

Counterarguments warn against the ‘physics envy’ of other disciplines and urge caution, lest we overstep the bounds of what’s knowable. They contend that the very act of observation changes the observed, and mathematics, a language born of human constructs, risks coloring the very fabric it seeks to measure. Can the sea of consciousness be captured in the dewdrop of a formula? The debate rages, but with each discovery, the proponents of the mathematical lens find new ammunition.

My stance is not one of fervent dogma but of intrigued possibility. The applications of mathematics in understanding consciousness and spirituality are not meant to stifle the grandeur of these states but to codify them in a manner that allows for richer exploration. I stand at the intersection of scholarship and wonder, humbled by the questions and resolute in the seeking.  For me, the pursuit of understanding is a collaborative dance between disciplines where no one partner leads, and fluidity is key. Mathematics, often feared for its austerity, brings the promise of clarity and coherence. It speaks to me of unity in the multiplicity, of patterns in the chaotic and whispers that within the labyrinth of consciousness, there is an underlying architecture waiting to be deciphered.

The call to unfurl the banner of the mathematical lens in the fields of consciousness and spirituality is not to declare it the sole savior of understanding but an ally in quest of elucidation. It calls for us to be audacious enough to believe that the mysteries of the mind can be charted like the celestial bodies. It invites us to be humble enough to recognize that our knowledge is a mere candle in the sunlight of the infinite.  Unraveling these profound topics through mathematics is no heresy; it’s a modern-day alchemy, an attempt to transmute the base metals of our uncertainty into the golden understanding. I firmly believe that as time progresses, and our thoughts with it, the marriage of mathematics and musings will yield insights that are not only groundbreaking but at times, transcendent. After all, if humanity is to evolve its consciousness, should we not first seek to comprehend it.

We must live into the transcendent truth that by insight into the entire process of consciousness, we can reduce the incidence and control over our Spirit by time-based thoughts, the divine background of our timeless existence may be uncovered, brought into the foreground, and experienced fully.

We can then live a life more in tune with the music of our divine heritage.

The Underrated Power of Insight and Its Transformative Prowess

In a world that lauds the invincibility of reason, where we quantify everything from our daily steps to our hours of sleep in an attempt to master life, the soft yet profound voice of insight often gets lost in the cacophony. Insight is that sudden manifestation of understanding, the spontaneous coalescing of disconnected thoughts into a coherent whole. It’s the quintessential “aha” moment, a mental aperture that exposes the heart of matters, seemingly out of nowhere.

The magic of insight, as it relates to seeing into ourselves without the slow churning of time-bound thought, is both mysterious and palpable. While analytical thinking can move us progressively towards a solution, insight leaps and bounds to conclusions with the grace of a gazelle. A piece of profound truth falls into place, not by the meticulous machinations of our logical minds, but by an intuitive, almost ethereal awareness.

This is not to disavow reason or critical thinking – they are, without question, mighty tools in dissecting the world’s complexities. However, we find ourselves caught in an endless cycle of over-analysis at times, paralyzing ourselves with the paralysis of analysis when swift, perceptive insight could cut through the fog. Insight is the spark, reason the torch that carries the flame forward.

We frequently overlook the significance of insight in our success parametrics, yet its contribution is ineffable. If insight were currency, many of us would be impoverished, not by lack of opportunity but by blindness to its existence. Insight tends to be rich in those moments when the mind is still; it demands a different kind of attentiveness – a passive concentration that watches with open receptivity.  One might argue that cultivating insight could drastically alter not only decision-making and creativity but also our deep understanding of personal and professional puzzles. It invites us to a holistic approach to confrontation with challenges. It is the blend of intelligence and wisdom, knowledge gathered through learning and living.

To furnish our insight, it’s pivotal to nurture practices that go beyond the confines of conventional thinking. Mindfulness and meditation are age-old, yet eternally new, ways to attune ourselves to the rhythm of insight. They are not escapes from reality but bridges to a reality that is enriched by dimensions beyond the surface. Self-reflection, too, is a silent garden where the seeds of insight can germinate and flourish away from the tyranny of persistent thoughts.  We can acknowledge the siren call to slow down, to listen, to ‘be’ – our inner life speaks in whispers and to catch the subtleties, we must be willing to exist in the spaces between words, between thoughts. There, insight dwells, waiting for recognition, ready to flood our consciousness with clarity and comprehension.

Rekindling our connection to insight is an intricate dance between doing and being. It is about finding equilibrium in a teetering world, reminding us that there is immense power in quietude and that sometimes, the best way to solve a problem is to step away from it. We have more to gain from insight than we have championed so far; perhaps it is time to listen more intently.

Part 7:   You Can’t Be Real

  • Are you ready to laugh at all of the wayward perceptions of thought that you have cultivated over the course of your life, and then let them go?
  • Are you ready to stop taking yourself, and the mind created world, so seriously?

To see again, as God, or Truth, sees, I must be mastered by the truth any concept of “You” can’t be real in any absolute sense,. The ego is the sum total of all of my judgments, the sum total of my human experience, my acculturation, my conditioning, my “separation from God, Love, my fellow-man, and Truth”. The ego looks out from itself, and sees everything, and everyone, as if they are separate from its self, while totally failing to see that “all that it ever sees, unto eternity, is itself”. There really does not exist the “you” that I have formed, my perception of “you” is an incomplete mental creation that only exists in my mind (and which may or may not be shared by others, and most certainly is NOT shared by you). Once again, the human race tends to confuse the verbal description (or mental image) of the person with the actual experience of the person, who, regardless of appearances, is infinitely more complex, and worthy of love and acceptance, than the human mind can readily accept. Yes, my ego is the sum total of all of my time based thoughts about time based behaviors of myself, and others. If I want to see clearly, I must accept that my main mode of viewing the world was through the ego’s eyes of unreality. To die to this mode of living is to truly be reborn of the spirit. WOW!! That was too much to digest in that moment, in that year of 1987, and for quite a period to follow.

I was to learn, and finally accept as the truth, that ALLof our perceptions, no matter how well fashioned and wrapped with love, or otherwise, that they are will never quite capture the full truth of the person, or the situation being described,  Thus, we must learn to have a sense of humor, and even laugh at ourselves, especially when we become so certain of our righteousness of judgment.

The Elusive Reality of the “Self” and the “Other”: A Pursuit of Empathy Over Absolute Truth

When we speak of understanding others—or even ourselves—we are probing into one of the most philosophical enigmas that has intrigued thinkers since antiquity: the quest to grasp the true nature of identity. However, this pursuit may very well be akin to chasing after a mirage. The human tendency to define the “self” and perceive “the other” is fraught with invisible barriers constructed by subjective experiences and biases. Through these filters, reality becomes a distortion; thus, absolute truth slips through our cognitive grasp like fine sand.

We operate within a reality that is significantly colored by subjective perception. Even with the most introspective intentions, our comprehension of the self remains merely a construct—hinged on the very personal narratives we feed ourselves, the reflections of those around us, and the social roles we inhabit. Just as the self is nebulous, the perception of the “other,” or those outside of ourselves, is replete with projections and characterizations that hardly capture a full, objective truth.

The notion that we can wholly understand ourselves, or someone else, assumes an objective standpoint that humanity is simply not equipped for. Each individual reality is a tapestry woven from personal biases, cultural backgrounds, and distinctive experiences. Our interactions are not conducted in a vacuum but are the outcomes of countless variables, many of which are beyond the reach of our awareness.

Complicating matters is the common psychological practice of projecting our inner fears, insecurities, and prejudices onto others. When faced with what we regard as “otherness,” there is a hidden tendency to ascribe characteristics that are less about the person in question and more revealing of our psyche’s machinations. This means that our perception of the “other” is often a reflection of our internal dialogues, masked as external assessments.

Rather than lamenting the impossibility of achieving an authentic understanding, we must recognize the power in acknowledging the limitations of our perceptions. By admitting the inevitability of this subjective skew, it is possible to open up space for dialogue and empathy. Engaging with different perspectives without the leniency to declare any as the definitive truth can pave the way toward more sincere and open-minded interactions.

However, striving for a deeper, if imperfect, appreciation of the vast array of human experiences—including those vastly different from our own—is a step towards building more inclusive and supportive communities. Understanding may never be complete, but it can be compassionate, multifaceted, and perpetually evolving.

The narrative of the “self” and the perception of the “other” are eternally elusive, forever shaped by the contours of human subjectivity. Perhaps we cannot truly comprehend another person in their entirety, but in this realization is the freedom to approach each interaction without the burden of seeking absolute truth. Instead, what we can and should aim for is a dynamic and empathetic exchange—a meeting of minds as it were—that acknowledges not only what we think we know but also all that we do not. While the essence of self and other might remain enigmatic, it is exactly this mystery that reminds us of the richness of human connections and compels us to keep reaching out, undeterred by the unknowable.

There is one thing we all should know for certain, however.  We have all made thousands of mistakes of perception, and they have dramatically impacted our lives, and ALL others.  The practice of forgiveness, for self and other, is of ultimate importance.  Until we learn how to forgive, we will remain forgetful of who, and what, we really are.

The Illusion of Separation: Revelations from a Non-Dualistic Cosmology

In the vast expanse of cosmic consciousness, where the fabric of existence weaves itself into the tapestry of reality, there lies a profound yet simplistically beautiful truth: all that exists is but a reflection of the self. The notion, as grand as it may seem, encapsulates the essence of non-dualistic cosmology, presenting a paradigm where the dichotomies that define our conventional perceptions—self and other, here and there, now and then—melt away into the singularity of being.

At the heart of this understanding is the concept of cosmic consciousness, a state of awareness that transcends the limitations of individual perception and embraces the unity of all existence. It’s akin to peering into an infinite mirror, revealing that every face you see, every eye that meets yours, is none other than your own reflection. The realization that what we perceive as ‘you’ is inseparable from ‘I’ not only challenges but fundamentally overturns the conventional notion of separateness.

In this light, the creation of ‘you’ as distinct from ‘me’ becomes an amusing dance of cosmic irony. For in the realm of cosmic consciousness, the illusion of duality dissipates, leaving behind the unalterable truth that there is no ‘other’; there is only ‘self’—not in the sense of egotistical selfhood but as the all-encompassing Self that is the universe and beyond.

The implications of this perspective are profound. By recognizing the interconnectedness and oneness of all existence, the boundaries that divide us fall away. It’s not merely a philosophical abstraction but a lived experience that invites a radical shift in how we engage with the world and with each other. This recognition fosters a deep sense of compassion and empathy, for how could one harm another when the other is none other than oneself?

It prompts us to reconsider the constructs of individual identity and the roles we play in the grand orchestration of existence. If the essence of who we are transcends the individual, then our actions, thoughts, and feelings are expressions of the cosmic whole. This doesn’t diminish personal responsibility; rather, it elevates our role as conscious participants in the unfolding drama of existence, where each act of kindness, each gesture of love, reverberates through the fabric of the cosmos.

To entertain the notion of ‘you’ in a non-dualistic cosmology, then, is to indulge in the cosmic laughter of the universe—a laughter that echoes through eternity, reminding us of the joyous play of existence. It’s an invitation to view life not as a series of isolated events and encounters but as a continuous flow of expressions of the Self. In this cosmic play, every conflict, every moment of connection, becomes an opportunity to recognize the underlying unity of all beings.

This perspective challenges us to live with an awareness that transcends the superficial layers of identity and separation. It asks us to look beyond the apparent distinctions that divide us and to see the underlying oneness that binds us. In doing so, it offers a path to peace, understanding, and a deeper engagement with the mystery of existence.

The realization that all that exists is a manifestation of the self, and that the distinction between ‘self’ and ‘other’ is but an illusion, serves as a powerful antidote to the myriad forms of alienation that plague our modern existence. It calls us to a higher consciousness, where the recognition of our interconnectedness becomes the foundation for a more compassionate, empathetic, and unified world.

To view the world through the eyes of cosmic consciousness is to see oneself in all things and all things in oneself. It is to laugh at the cosmic joke that in the endless expanse of time and space, amid the infinite expressions of being, we have been gazing upon our own reflection all along. This laughter, born from the heart of existence, carries with it the hope and the promise of a deeper understanding and acceptance of the self and the other—as one.

Part 8:  Embedded Tricksters and Disassociative Entities Attached To Our Life Energy Field

I saw embedded in my life energy field two almost complete thought forms, or identity forms, which I recognized as two distinct entities. I had two ‘extras’ attached to my field, and they were not there for my greater good. I came to regard these two unwelcome components to my life force as tricksters, though I noted that their presence seemed to allay the feelings of loneliness of my ego, perhaps only because they seemed vaguely familiar and were subconscious advisors to me.

I sensed that I was supposed to let go of these illusions of self, but I did not know what to do. The two extra identity vortices in the human energy field matrix that constituted my conscious sense of self did not really ever disappear, they just became unconscious again for me. Little did I know that they were to become the most critical components to understand in my desire to heal and form a better ongoing human/spiritual experience.

Navigating Embedded Tricksters and Disassociative Entities in the Human Energy Field

In the ethereal ecosystem of the human psyche, there exist entities that are born not of flesh and blood, but of trauma. Unseen, yet unfathomably influential, these embedded tricksters and disassociative entities attach themselves to our life energy field, weaving through the very fabric of our being. Their stealth and subsequent presence are at the intersection of psychological, spiritual, and metaphysical discourse—a realm where skepticism often tussles with intuitive knowing.

Before we can dispel, we must first discern. Embedded tricksters and disassociative entities are not household terms, nor are they subjects of casual discourse. Yet, they are intimately entwined with our narratives of healing and personal evolution.  These metaphysical figures rise from within the cauldron of intense events that rupture the peace and order of our lives. They emerge from trauma, where the shock of the event is not merely registered by the senses, but imprinted onto the soul, reframing the individual’s perception and response to reality.

How Trauma Takes Root in the Energy Field

Trauma is a complex phenomenon—its impact is silent and subtle, seeping into the very fibers of the human energy field. It is fertile ground for the birth of tricksters and entities, a product of the mind’s attempt to cope with the unbearable. Denial, repression, and disassociation are the alchemic processes through which these figures gain form, altering thought patterns and emotional responses.

The first step on the path of liberation is to acknowledge the shadow. In the case of embedded tricksters and disassociative entities, an intentional gaze must be cast upon the self, fearless and unswerving.

To acknowledge is to look directly at that which makes us tremble. Embedded tricksters are cunning—they thrive in the darkness of the subconscious, operating through mechanisms that veil their existence. It is only under the compassionate spotlight of awareness that they can be illumined.

Understanding the entity requires understanding its genesis. Delving into the annals of personal history, to scenes of violence, abandonment, or stifling repression, is the archaeology of the soul. By unraveling the knots of trauma, we decipher the entwined mechanisms of disassociation that engender these entities.

Healing is both process and destination. It is a commitment to the self, to conquer the dominion of the traumas that feed these entities. Techniques such as energy healing, somatic experiencing, and traditional therapy are tools that aid the individual in reclaiming their narrative and energy field.

Introducing heightened awareness is akin to fortifying the soul’s citadel. The fortress must be armored, the sentinels vigilant, for tricksters are sly and entities are persistent.

Awareness is the sentinel. By maintaining a conscious and watchful presence within our energy fields, we become attuned to shifts and anomalies. Through practices like meditation and mindfulness, one can cultivate a state where the presence of a disassociative entity is starkly evident.

To protect is to honor one’s own sovereignty. Rituals, sigils, and psychological techniques serve as wards against the influence of tricksters and entities. Like the squall-resistant sails of a ship, these measures keep the individual anchored in their autonomy.

Embracing the Complexities of the Wounded Human Ego

Our ego, though often maligned, is also the vessel of our highest aspirations. Complex and multifaceted, the ego must be viewed not as a foe in the quest for healing, but as an ally.

The ego, in its attempts to shield the psyche, can be fractured by trauma. In the resulting disassociation, the ego compartmentalizes and segregates—creating environments that can incubate disassociative entities.

Integration of the ego’s facets is compassion’s task. Instead of demonizing the ego, one must extend the hand of understanding. Through this integration, we learn to dance with our shadows without being consumed.

The path to the self’s sovereignty and serenity is beset with challenges, but through acknowledgement, investigation, and healing, one can labor towards liberation. The presence of embedded tricksters and disassociative entities is a testament to the resilience and inventiveness of the human psyche, which in the face of unfathomable odds, remains compelled to shape a coherent reality. It is a reality not devoid of these entities, nor of the trauma that births them, but one in which the individual’s energy field is a sanctuary of their ontological integrity.

In a cosmos both mundane and magical, the narrative of humanity unfurls. In our narrative, the passage of trauma is inevitable, yet so too is the potential for transcendence. Personal and collective growth seem intrinsically tied to the shedding of these inner tormentors. In the end, it is our duty to traverse our wounded landscapes, to confront the entities born from our traumas, and to heal the fractures within our energy field. Only by doing so can we rewrite the stories that have long held us captive and author the epilogue of our own emancipation.

I owe a profound debt of gratitude to my wife Sharon White, who helped midwife a life changing “birth” during the week of March 4, 2017. That was the experience that allowed for me to bring healing to both of the dark unconscious companions that I carried with me for my entire life, resulting in a higher measure of peace with my tricksters. Trickster number one is that I cannot be heard, which takes on many forms, and Trickster number two is death itself, which also appears in a multitude of forms. Writing a story around my recovery (which was actually written by the Creator Within), is the direct outcome of facing both vortices simultaneously.

A Gateway to Authentic Self-Understanding

In the quietude that follows the end of thought as time and judgment, we find ourselves standing at the threshold of self-discovery. It is in this silence that the true qualities of mind and self emerge—an expanse we seldom explore amidst the cacophony of our incessantly ticking thoughts. Moving beyond a life ensnared by the back-and-forth of retrospective regret and prospective anxiety, one can uncover a well of profound understanding and peace.

Thought, in its most habitual form, is bound by the constructs of time—a relentless sequence of past and future that often leaves little room for the present. The mind’s liberation from these constraints reveals the self to be far more than a mere byproduct of memories and anticipations. Our true essence resides not in the mire of bygone days nor the mirage of what has yet to come, but in the here and now—a presence we can only appreciate when we disengage from time-oriented thought.

The cessation of judgment opens a channel to an ocean of innate creativity and wisdom. The mind, unbound by the need to constantly evaluate and categorize experiences, is free to conceive ideas in their purest form. This unobstructed flow of consciousness allows for creativity that is not derivative but is the raw fruit of our deepest cognitive potential. Wisdom, too, no longer tainted by prejudice or preconceived notions, shines through, guiding us with clarity and insight previously veiled by the fog of judgment.

When we no longer cling to thoughts as the quintessential markers of our identity, we make way for the emergence of a self that is authentic and immediate. Liberated from the need to define and limit ourselves with thought-generated labels, we come to a direct and vivid experience of life. Each moment is no longer clouded by judgment. We experience the world in its unadulterated splendor, an interaction devoid of the filters that thought so often imposes.

Realizing this state does not come without effort. Cultivating mindfulness and presence requires consistent practice—a devoted quest for a state of being that celebrates each breath, every sensation, and the incessant rhythm of life. This practice may be found in meditation, reflective contemplation, or the simple act of acknowledging the richness of the present.

As thought-as-time and thought-as-judgment dissolve, we are offered a gateway to inner tranquility and a more fulfilling existence. Our challenge lies in our willingness to surrender the habitual rhythm of thinking that keeps us anchored to a phantom sense of self. It is only then that we can truly enjoy the qualities of mind and self that blossom in thought’s quietude. We must dare to silence our ceaseless inner dialogue to hear the whispers of wisdom that have been waiting to break through the noise.

Journey to Authentic Self-Understanding: Embracing Timeless Presence

In the relentless march of modern life, we are often consumed by the incessant pressure of time. Yet, within this framework of hours, days, and years lies an extraordinary paradox. Our deepest self-understanding emerges in the transcendence of time’s confines, as we come to realize that at the center of our being, a timeless presence awaits—a simple awareness that revels in the very miracle of its own existence.

Time is the great organizer, the imperial scheduler of our lives. It dictates our to-do lists, our New Year’s resolutions, and the milestones we set on our quest for self-improvement. We wear time as a yoke, often inundated by its tyrannical grip. Yet, have we paused to consider that time is but a human construct? A tool created for convenience, yes, but too often, at the expense of our freedom and peace.

When we anchor our sense of worth and achievement in goals that are pegged to time, we inadvertently relinquish our present joy. We value what we think we will become over who we are at this very instant. Time-bound aspirations are akin to laying tracks that ought to lead to fulfillment, but often they end up confining our sense of actualizing to an illusionary framework.

Timeless presence, on the other hand, is the capacity to fully inhabit the moment without the shadows of the past or the projections into the future. It does not preclude planning or reminiscing, but rather, suggests that our being can only thrive in the fullness of now. This concept, often intertwined with spiritual teachings, carries profound implications for our daily life experience.

The present is a place of immense power—not in the sense of controlling outcomes, but in the ability to immerse ourselves in the unadulterated experience of living. It is here that we find respite from the ceaseless demand of time-bound expectations. By learning to be present, we transcend the anxieties and stresses that are so often weaved into the future or bound to the past.

A natural byproduct of our relationship with time is judgment. We measure our worth by the achievements we gather within specific temporal boundaries. “Am I successful enough? Have I reached my goals in time?” These questions often betray an undercurrent of self-doubt and the relentless pursuit of validation.

But what if we could unshackle ourselves from the benchmarks imposed by time? In doing so, we liberate our psyche. Judgment mellows into gentle observation, and the compulsion to constantly improve fades. In this state, we come into contact with our authentic self—a self not defined by external validation but rooted in a peaceful, non-judgmental awareness.

Authentic self-understanding blossoms in the light of self-awareness unburdened by time and judgment. This presence is not blank or inactive; on the contrary, it is keenly alive. It is a buoyancy that carries us through life’s challenges with equanimity. It is from this vantage point that we recognize the essential futility of trying to become what we already are.

The joy found in this self-realization is an unspeakable one. It speaks to our very core, reaffirming life’s innate goodness. We realize that our worth is not contingent on the passage of time or the achievement of goals, but on the undying spark that animates us—our timeless presence.

The path to authentic self-understanding is not a straight line marked with milestones and deadlines. It is an inward spiral, a ceaseless turning towards our own heart. At its center is a revelation—finding time for self-improvement may be important, but discovering a self that needs no improving is the beginning of true liberation.

This is not a call to forsake our duties or disregard time altogether. Rather, it is an invitation to explore the depth of our being, unshackling ourselves from the temporal chains we have accepted as an immutable fact of life.

In our pursuit of growth, perhaps we are not meant to become something else, but to embody the truth of who we are. And when this truth is recognized and revered, the concept of time as a constraining force fades, revealing an existence that knows no beginning and no end—only the eternal dance of being.

Bruce

Presently, I am 67 years old, and I am learning how to live the life of a retired person. I am married to Sharon White, a retired hospice nurse, and writer. Whose Death Is It Anyway-A Hospice Nurse Remembers Sharon is a wonderful friend and life partner of nearly 30 years. We have three grandsons through two of Sharon's children. I am not a published writer or poet. My writings are part of my new life in retirement. I have recently created a blog, and I began filling it up with my writings on matters of recovery and spirituality. I saw that my blog contained enough material for a book, so that is now my new intention, to publish a book, if only so that my grandsons can get to know who their grandfather really was, once I am gone. The title for my first book will be: Penetrating The Conspiracy Of Silence, or, How I Lived Beyond My Expiration Date I have since written 7 more books, all of which are now posted on this site. I have no plans to publish any of them, as their material is not of general interest, and would not generate enough income to justify costs. I have taken a deep look at life, and written extensively about it from a unique and rarely communicated perspective. Some of my writing is from 2016 on to the present moment. Other writing covers the time prior to 1987 when I was a boy, then an addict and alcoholic, with my subsequent recovery experience, and search for "Truth". Others are about my more recent experiences around the subjects of death, dying, and transformation, and friends and family having the most challenging of life's experiences. There are also writings derived from my personal involvement with and insight into toxic masculinity, toxic religion, toxic capitalism, and all of their intersections with our leadere. These topics will not be a draw for all people, as such personal and/or cultural toxicities tends to get ignored, overlooked, or "normalized" by those with little time for insight, introspection, or interest in other people's points of view on these troubling issues. There also will be a couple of writings/musings about "GOD", but I try to limit that kind of verbal gymnastics, because it is like chasing a sunbeam with a flashlight. Yes, my books are non-fiction, and are not good reading for anybody seeking to escape and be entertained. Some of the writings are spiritual, philosophical and intellectual in nature, and some descend the depths into the darkest recesses of the human mind. I have included a full cross section of all of my thoughts and feelings. It is a classic "over-share", and I have no shame in doing so. A Master Teacher once spoke to me, and said "no teacher shall effect your salvation, you must work it out for yourself". "Follow new paths of consciousness by letting go of all of the mental concepts and controls of your past". This writing represents my personal work towards that ultimate end.
