NETFLIX SCORES A MASSIVE WINNER.
This is the most amazing music history movie that I have ever seen. Jakob Dylan does an admirable job hosting, and playing tribute to many great bands, and legendary musicians. It portrayed the musical heroes of the 1960’s , such as the Beach Boys, the Mamas and the Papas, Buffalo Springfield, the Beatles, Eric Clapton, the Byrds, The Association, and others. I could not avoid may tears of recognition and connection with some of the greatest musicians of the 20th century.
Profound, connecting, heart breaking at times. and a tour de-force of the age of 1960’s innocence, and Rock and Rock musical transcendence. I had almost forgotten how much of an influence these amazing musicians had upon my developing teenage rock and roll mind.
Great interviews with Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton,Tom Petty, Stephen Stills, David Crosby, and others.
If you are not impacted by this movie, you must not have been alive, or loving music in the 1960’s.
THESE MUSICIANS ARE THE GODS OF MY ROCK AND ROLL PAST.
I still admire, and, at time, worship, these masters of MUSIC.
MUSIC, like MYSTICISM, is one of the few ways to engage the WHOLE of the human MIND.
